LFC has decided to televise both the UF-Vandy and Bama-Miss. St. games...at the same freakin' time!!!! I live in the panhandle of Florida, north of Panama City...our CBS affiliate is out of Dothan, AL...guess which game they're showing???!!! No offense Bama fans, I know you love your team just as much as I do, but come on!! The 4th and 5th place West teams vs the the Eastern Divisional leader...with a chance to virtually sew-up a trip to Atlanta!!! This sucks nearly as bad as when Bama won the MNC in '92 and the Dothan affiliate replayed the win over Miami 4,000 times!!!!

Well your situation is different then the 'Bamers in Atlanta complaining about the same game. Your state is an SEC East State, but the affiliate is from an SEC West State. The Panhandle might as well be Alabama/Georgia but it's still Florida and therefore is not gonna get preference from the Dothan Station(even if the majority of viewers in the viewing area come from Florida).

"Paul Finebaum has done more to change the face of sports journalism in the state of Alabama than any other individual," Auburn athletic director David Housel has said.
From my Cold, Dead Hands......you damn, dirty apes!

Very good points...my issue is...why show them at the same freakin' time!!! Looks like I'll be viewing this one at Hooters!!

Solution: Get a CBS affiliate out of Panama City ! Here in Oxford, we get the local stations out of both Memphis and Columbus so I get 4 NFL games every Sunday :P

Too bad Panama City only has NBC, ABC and FOX...they do need a CBS, though.

Mobile gets CBS, NBC, and Fox while Pensacola gets ABC.
Like Oxford, Auburn has access to more then 1 city's worth of affiliates, so if I get tired of Montgomery programming, I can switch over to Columbus programming.

Living in Dothan, there's no way that a station out of Dothan is going to show a Florida/Vandy game instead of a game with Alabama involved. There are way too many Bama fans in Dothan for them to do that IMO. They'd never hear the end of it.
Enjoy the game at Hooters (I assume you mean the Hooters in Dothan). Maybe I'll drop by with the wife and grab some wings. If you see someone in a Gamecock hat, it'll more than likely be me.

Don't get me wrong...I completely understand why they are doin' it...just don't understand why LFC wants to do both games at the same time...if they would have "given up" their rights to the game, I've heard ESPN2 or ESPNU would've picked it up and a couple of hundred thousand Florida fans wouldn't be scrambling to watch the game. More than likely, I'll be a the Hooters in Dothan...although, I plan to call them and make sure the game will be on. If not, the wife and I are likely headed to our condo in PC.
