As you can see, Tech fans get a little f*ggish after they finally have a good year. (Took them long enough, they couldn't even do it when they were cheating by playing ineligible players from 1998-2006.)

So today I picked up a Red & Black and found two articles interesting and thought I would share them with the board.

The first one was about the graduation rates of UGA men's basketball team and tangentially those of the football team. For three years running the men's b-ball team has been bottom of the SEC in grad rates with only 18% of the team graduating in 6 years. I found that astonshing. With less than 1 in 5 graduating, it is hard to say with a straight face that the team is The University of Georgia's team. The football teams graduation rate is much better @ 57% but still eight in the SEC.

The second one was about a freshman saftey who writes poetry and publishes his own books. I could not find any of his work but would think it interesting to read if anyone else can. Its nice to see an article about a well-rounded student-athelete with ambition after reading the previous article.

i read on rivals that Kenny Shaw, Jeff Luc, and five star safety Matt Elam are all visiting athens this weekend but it also says a few more are also but i am not a subscriber so i cant see who it is. does anyone know who all is visiting for the AU game this weekend?

You guys wouldn't know if GA breeds Uga, would you? I know, it sounds crazy, especially as an Auburn fan...but that Uga, well...that's how a bulldog should look lol... I want one...

With Cox stated as being the starter for the rest of the year, this has me a little worried now that I think about it more. I would just pass it off as Richt not wanting to lose a year of playing for Murray, but he stated in an interview that he would play the QB that gives us the best chance to WIN NOW.

With that being said, I can only conclude that Richt thinks Cox is the best we have at QB right now...... which is EXTREMELY scary.

I am hoping that this is not the case, and that Richt just does not want to lose a year of playing time, as stated earlier.

What do you guys think?
Is Cox starting because he is the best we have right now?

I was looking at our roster and we are only losing 11 scholarship seniors after this year. we already have 18 commits and are looking at more. my question is if we sign 20-21 kids, where those 10 spots are gonna open up? what do some of you guys think? its not like we have a ton of juniors that might leave early either..

4. Quintin Banks- Constant knee trouble
5. Kevin Perez- just a hunch

Some guy named Fred from Savannah was the first caller and reamed CMR a new one with reference to substandard assistant coaching, esp with regards to Martinez and the fact that scoring defense has worsened every year he has coached, with 2008 setting a record for points given up.

He was obviously reading from a prepared script, but I thought his comments were spot on.

Was a little disappointed he hung up and did not ask for Richt's reply.

Im curious to know what you guys would like to see happen with him for the rest of the year. He has not been as advertised. Not overly accurate nor does he make great decisions. Those two things were supposed to be his claim to fame. The only thing i see that was said about him is that he is more emotional then MS or so they say. Which is i guess why he celebrates like a mad man everytime he throws a TD pass. Has already thrown more pics then MS did in his soph or jr years and will easily pass MS's INT total from even his freshman year. not to mention he hung AJ out over the middle vs. florida and got him hurt.

We now don't have AJ due to a lung injury, predictions? haha
