It was great to see Auburn defense again, Looking forward to a strong finish.
While we did play better (told yall we were getting better on D), we still gave up too many big plays. All-in-all, we gave up almost 400 yards. Gonna have to be more consistent.
Most of us tried to tell y'all you were giving up on the team too soon last week. You guys are a fickle crowd; from one extreme to the other. First, when you started off great, you were world-beaters. Then, when things didn't go your way a couple of games, some of the fans completely bailed on the team. Now, you guys are back again.
The way I see it, WE73 and a few others have hit the nail on the head. AU isn't deep at all positions yet; but they do have talent across most positions on the first string. So, AU will win a lot of games, but not be strong enough yet to challenge in every single game against the really deep teams in the conference. That comes with repeated stout recruiting, which AU looks to be doing.
Bottom line, appreciate your team and whatever they accomplish this season. It's definitely going to be better than last year; and all signs point to the coaching hires being significantly better than anyone thought before the season started. That AU has gotten their act back together this fast, after such a disaster last year, is an amazing accomplishment in its own right... appreciate that.
Congrats on the big win... that was a very talented team y'all took down last night.

Perfectly said. We've got to get alot better, but a win is a win. Our defense is good, but it's thin- that will improve with recruiting. Todd isn't a world beater, but when he's making good throws our offense does well. Our receivers don't drop too many passes, but we need to be better on the offensive line (penalty wise). Simply put, for every good point we've also got a problem, but that's what happens when you have a radical change in offensive philosophy, coaching staff and lack of depth. We're rebuilding, but at times we've looked good doing it.
And as a side note- it tells you something about our offense when we get penalized for being TOO QUICK between plays. Bogus penalty, because it's the ref's responsibility to stop the snap until their set, but dag gum- we're making improvements. War Eagle, ya'll!
I'm a little upset with the play calling in the 2nd half. Why did Kodi Burns get the ball so much when Todd was tearing it up? I remember one drive where Todd was like 5/5 but Burns was is in on 2 straight plays and we had to punt. That could've put the game away. Overall I was really impressed with the defense. When Etheridge went down it seemed like the D came together and shut em down. Coleman was a beast. My boi Tate was tearing it up. If we can do that against UGA then that's a very impressive 8 win season.
while im not a conspiracy theorist, im almost certain there was a deal made to make sure Kodi received so many snaps.
if you compare his "wildcat" numbers to other WC QBs across the country he leaves alot to be desired outside of his passes. I think Kodi is a playmaker but the amount of wildcat plays(or Kodi plays) we play just doesnt make any sense to me
true, but as a WR his route running is average, and his speed is average
his only redeeming trait as a WR is his hands
i dunno, but ive heard rumors from multiple sources saying that his parents meddled with the old administration as well as the new one when it came to his playing time
