Auburn First Road Game
How do y'all think the 100k fans will affect AU's team? I know our one close game so far had a lot to do with the crowd I hope we can get it all done!

AU is historically very good on the road, I think we'll be fine. I know this- we can make 100k people very silent by punching out their running game early, and scoring on our first couple possessions. Our defenses are very comparable, but our offense in 2 td's better. War Eagle.

Going to be a shock for the AU players early. Slow starts have been the norm thus far. Hopefully it won't last longer than the first few series and then the O can get it going. I think the UT defense is significantly better so far, but we're definitely equal talent-wise. Key for the Tigers IMO will be pressure on Crompton, not so much stopping their RBs.

We're not a 1st quarter team so I expect to be losing even till halftime.

One thing this team has done better than any other of the last five years is make adjustments. Our 2 biggest struggles right now are:

1) Slow starts
2) Special Teams

I expect this team and coach Chiz to make the adjustments, and I'm expecting a strong start and good special teams play in Knoxville.

If we stuff the box. Make Crompton throw on our good DB's. Get our running game started to keep the pressure off Todd on the road then we have it. If we can come out and shut up the crowd early it might be a blow out. I fully expect our defense to make a "statement game" because I'm pretty sure they know that everyone is questioning them. McCalebb and Burns will play too. This should be a W.

We were good on the road under Tubs, I hope that's one thing that carries over.

I don't think we'll start fast, but baring a turnover (or, more likely, a special teams mishap) I don't think they will either.

I predict something like a 13-10 score at halftime (in favor of AU).

And then final score:

AU 30

TN 16

Noise won't be a factor because will silence them our first O possession. I think AC and the veterans are pissed at themselves and will work hard this week to fix there week second half preformance this past game.

I think the special teams will step up this game to be honest just because it will be dry and Chizik is focusing on special teams this week. But I think our depth issues will become a factor starting this game.
