Scout.com is reporting that Auburn and Clemson have agreed to a home-and-home series in 2010 and 2011. Auburn was widely criticized when they got out of their series with Clemson back in 2003 and more recently Clemson has been criticized for dropping the Pitt game.
While you can add me to the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp, this is certainly a step in the right direction for both programs. Then again, I felt the same way about this year's Alabama/Florida State match-up when it was announced. If it comes to pass, this should be good for both programs. Despite having a rough conference schedule, Auburn's out-of-conference this season is one of the weakest among the power programs in the SEC. Clemson is experience a bit of landscape change with increased parity in the ACC and Spurrier's Gamecocks on the rise.
Kudos to both schools for re-establishing the series.
I kinda hope we get to play our clone. Like I said, we still have to return the favor for our clone school beating us in the Peach Bowl all those years ago. After all, a clone is something that's a copy of the real thing and usually defective in some manner. I might feel at home at Clemson and even enjoy it, but I always have to remember that it's just a blatant clone of Auburn.

"Paul Finebaum has done more to change the face of sports journalism in the state of Alabama than any other individual," Auburn athletic director David Housel has said.
From my Cold, Dead Hands......you damn, dirty apes!
I don't understand....there was not one mention of Clemson in that video.....
There wasn't supposed to be. I was making the point of the Clones.

You have to be kidding. Kansas State and South Florida in the first few weeks is weakest among conference? Yeah right.

And in addition, you forget that 2002 and 2003 we faced USC in a home and home. Truthfully, had we beaten USC at least one of those times(and especially had we not gotten waxed at home in 2003 against them) we most likely would have had a better chance from the ESPN media at getting to the National Championship game in 2004.
Also, 2004 OOCwas bad and no Auburn fan will argue that. But few outsiders will remember that Bob Stoops undermined Auburn by paying Bowling Green bigger $$$ to play them even though they had a deal with us for 2004. So, Money Talked and BGSU went to Norman instead. That was an OOC game that we had to scramble to fill and so we had to take The Citadel instead.
Thanks a lot Bob. And thanks again for whining like a damn baby after we beat UGA that year and actually moved up into #2 in the polls. Screw you and I hope we find out half your team that year was working at car dealerships of boosters. Likewise it would be sweet karma to see USC get in NCAA trouble and have to forfeit their 2004 NC win. If #1 and #3 are out of the running, then by default I'd claim 2004 as ours, vacant be damned. Pipe Dream sure, but still...

Yeah. The best way to prove yourself is by beating your clone. Nice to see that records wise, we make that point clearly.

Our OOC schedule was weak last year and in '04. Otherwise we have played Ga Tech, USCal, Kstate, Wash St, USF, and in 07 and 08 WVU.
I wasn't arguing that.......
If you read my original post you'll notice that some clown stated that our current OOC schedule is among the weakest of the conference. I beg to differ.
That is all. Anything other than the 2007 schedule is irrelevant to these particular comments.

Nah I wasn't disagreeing with you, i was quoting you to add on to what you said and increase your point.
