Sounds like Garcia is at the top of Spurrier's shat list. These quotes don't give me the warm and fuzzy's about Garcia's future. One more screw up and he's out. I think Spurrier has already "moved on," and isn't going to build the team around a guy that apparently can't grow up.

It's a shame too, 'cause Garcia has more talent than most QB's, has an opportunity to develop into a quality SEC QB under a legendary Coach, and he doesn't seem to care.

He's young and he's missed a lot of important practices. Not good to hear he's missing team functions. Hopefully he'll get it together. Sounds like Culliver is going to have a big year.

Garcia won't be here much longer IMO. He will either transfer, or get booted. Really makes me wonder now about the 'mystery' ankle injury last weekend. Rumor was he jumped a fence after police showed up at a party he was attending last Saturday night.

As for the team breakfast, that crap don't cut it. Is he too good to get up early and go? I can assure you his teammates see it that way. I don't give a dang if he leaves now. We have too much good happening right now to keep hearing this crap pop up with him.

I saw a close up pic of Culliver the other day. That kid is built like a brick crap house. Nothing but muscle with skin wrapped tightly around it. And runs a 4.3. I have heard the same thing, that he could have a huge year.

The word Athlete in the dictionary should have a picture of Culliver beside it. I'm impressed with alot of our players, but Culliver should prove to be worth the 5-Star rating he received during recruiting. Now he's playing his natural position and should amaze this year. CC Whitlock seems more comfortable at WR than did Culliver and Spurrier calls Whitlock "next year's McKinley." Not bad.

Back to the Garcia thing; I think Spurrier is mad because Garcia was the missing element he needed and it was planned for him to be ready to go this year. But due to his immaturity, we're still absent the stud QB to take us to the next level. The Spurrier-haters are having a field day making fun of THE Legendary Quarterbacks Coach, that doesn't have a QB going into his 4th year! You never know how a kid will turn out when you recruit him but Spurrier put his reputation on the line with Garcia and it looks like it's a bust.

We have bent over backwards for this guy and this is the way he responds to his 4th chance? The more and more I think about it, the more PO'd I get.

You know I was thinking about all those "sprains" that no one saw happen or that happened falling down, etc... I know I'm a cynic but, I have to think some of that crap is just laziness by players that know they're buried on the depth chart, or players that know they're going to start anyway. I hope that's not happening very often. That's not the attitude and commitment we need to break out of the middle.

I agree to some extent, although those who mock Spurrier are idiots anyway. Beecher, IMO, will surprise some folks this year. Spurrier continues to compare him to Wuerffel. Spurrier came in here with some crap QB's, and has done the best he can. Beecher and Smelley are now in their fourth year under him, and they should both be ok. The O line has a lot to do with that, too. The O line has been decent at best, and usually only one real go to guy at WR. That is no longer the case.

I don't think that is the attitude for the most part at all anymore. That is why I think we are turning the corner. I do think you may have a good point with Garcia in reference to the depth chart though. He strikes me as a rich kid who is rebelling because coach didn't give him the star treatment and name him the starter when he got here.

Beecher and Smelley both are light years ahead of Blake in the leadership department. Both of those guys garner a lot of respect in the huddle whereas Blake was loathed by some or most of his teammates. Garcia is starting to look like another Blake Mitchell. Loads of talent but with a 2-star attitude.

Lot of talk on the official board from some folks apparently 'in the know' who are saying it's time for him to go.

Maybe he will wake up, I am glad to see that Spurrier is not giving him any special treatment. Looks like he has dug himself a hole and it will be up to him to get out of it. If he wants to act like a spoiled brat, then take it somewhere else. The only way he will ever get out of the doghouse is be the badest dog in there and play up to his potential.

Apparently that is a lot of his problem. His ego. He already thinks he's the baddest dog out there.

I actually wanted him gone after his last incident. Not because he drank, but because he's a damn idiot. Plus he acts like he's 11 years old. Who keys peoples cars? Who gets made about getting in trouble so goes and sets off a fire extinguisher? Whatever your answer was to those two questions I can promise its not the person you want leading your offense on Saturdays. Sure all of his actions were minor, but you have to also look at the number of occurrences.

I knew after his last time getting in trouble that he wouldnt make it at SC. But now we have set ourselves up to let him get in trouble or do something else to shine a bad light on the University of SC before we get rid of him. And for what?? Because he kicked ass in high school? I'd much rather have an Aramis Hilary who has always been a Gamecock, will put 100% into his efforts here, and truly appreciate the opportunity he has here.

At this point Garcia has done nothing to earn his scholarship and has done plenty of things to have it taken away.

I agree, and I must say I'm a bit baffled myself as to why he is still here.

Well, maybe once the season starts and he finds himself standing on the sidelines or sitting in the back of meeting rooms, that "need to play" feeling may just kick in. If that happens [in this case IF IS BIG] he just may turn it around. God knows the tallent is there, he just needs the burning in the gut to play.
If not then I say GET RID OF HIM, and make room for another QB on the roster next year.

I don't know if he don't care, or he is that dumb. But either way, he doesn't seem to be 'getting it'. We have 7 QB's on roster. We don't need him IMO. All he has become is a distraction from the butt whippin that is about to commence.
