GOLD MEDAL USA! Take that, France!

I know a lot of y'all couldn't care less about the Olympics, but we just took the gold in a race the French were heavily favored in. Earlier today, a reporter asked the French captain about Michael Phelps, and he said something along the lines of, "The Americans? We are unimpressed. We're going to crush them; that's what we came here to do."

In the last leg of the relay, the French had a substantial lead after the turn, but the American took over with about 30 meters left, and we won by literally a finger nail.

Man, I'm pumped. If you missed it, check out Sportscenter, if for nothing else to see Michael Phelps go nuts when the screen showed that we won. USA, baby!

I saw it. The French were favored in that event. My wife and I jumped up off the sofa and were shouting when he the US won by a milisecond. That was an intense comeback & it wasnt even Phelps who did it!
The look on the French swimmers was priceless. That is what olympic competition is all about

I also watched the Mens b-ball team (redeem team) put a beat down on China in the first round. It looks like we will finish no less than a silver medal in that sport. Those guys looked pumped esp Lebron and Kobe

That relay was freaking awesome. When the announcer said he thought that the US guy was going to overtake the Frenchy I thought there was no way in hell. But he pulled it out.

The French got their ass handed to them. USA! USA! USA!
