Tony Morrell from Gamecockcentral (The USC rivals site) as well as several other Gamecock sites (Cockytalk) have reported that some of USC's high profile recruits a packet that includes negative articles about the University of South Carolina and their players. Also included in the packet is a list of all players having legal problems in Columbia. Steve Spurrier had remained mum on the topic until today at his annual Media Golf event in Elgin, SC. It has been reported that a Clemson booster has been sending these packets out.
Spurrier started his press conference today by saying (not word for word but close to it) "I want to congratulate the State Paper today for reporting that the charges were dropped against Dion LeCorn (our #2 WR)." Spurrier then preceded to say that "the guy from the Clemson website" that is mailing out negative articles out to our recruits should mail them this article.
This pisses me off beyond belief. And I know it pisses Spurrier off. With everything he's already been through this year with Clemson (the billboard controversy, etc.), I promise you he hates them now, if he didn't before.
And this is the same Clemson that didn't do anything when their only remaining returning LB threw a girl down the stairs and strangled her with bed sheets.
