Because of MLB's 1994 strike with lasted 232-days and held the fans hostage, I am not a huge major league baseball fan these days. Yeah, I'll always love the Cubs, but baseball to me has taken a back seat to sports like Cliff diving from Mexico, and the annual Running of the Bulls in Spain.
But every once in a while a story will emerge from the game that catches your eye. And what Josh Hamilton accomplished last evening in the Bronx was something baseball purest will talk about for years. And for it to happen in the house that Ruth built, made this story that more amazing.
If you like those feel good stories, the ones that gives you goose bumps, then please take the time and do yourself a favor and read the following article which ran recently in ESPN the magazine.

'I'm proof that hope is never lost'
By Josh Hamilton (as told to Tim Keown)
