It's good to see Bama rolling back onto our schedule for 2009 and 2010. I'll be doing everything I can to get tickets for that game in Tuscaloosa. My dad gets Gamecock season tickets, so he should be able to order tickets for this game for me.

The funny thing is, with my oldest son going to Alabama (and my youngest son possibly going there as a Freshman in 2009), my wife thinks if we go to the game, I'll be pulling for Alabama. I've told her on several occasions, my Gamecocks come first, but she still believes that I won't be able to go to my son's school and pull for another team. I guess she'll get the surprise of her life when I break out the Gamecock hat and shirt for the game.

If any Bama fans are reading this, note that I'll be going to watch Bama play Arkansas State and Mississippi State this year. And I'll be pulling for a Bama victory in both of those games.

Gotta say I like this prediction! Especially the 48-12 victory over Clemson!!!!:D:D

You do know if this happened it would tie our school's most successful season ever.

I just want to see Spurrier take you guys the BCS promised land at least once during his USC career (but not at the expense of seeing my Gators having to settle for less of course);)

On a serious note, your schedule does look pretty promising in the 09 season. If Spurs ever was going to make a run for a SEC title it would be then.

I agree that the schedule is probably the most favorable he's had since he's been here. However, we do lose some key players after this year:

-J. Brinkley (LB)
-K. McKinley (WR)
-M. Davis (RB)

But that's pretty much it...if we don't lose a lot of guys to the NFL early (Safety E. Cook, LB E. Norwood, CB C. Munnerlyn) our defense should be okay. And hopefully we'll see some guys step up on offense...hopefully it'll be this year when that #4 recruting class from a year ago rears its head. We definately have a lot more (talented) depth now, unlike the past couple of years when a key injury (like J. Brinkley's in 07) destroyed our team.

It'll be interesting.

Hey......you know Stafford's gone after this season.....most likely, Moreno is gone as well.....

Could 2009 be the year that USC whoops the bulldogs 3 years in a row?? ;)

That's not too bad looking a schedule. We need to do it this year or next IMO. One of the players moms posted a couple of days ago that these are by far the hardest summer workouts since Spurrier has been here, and most everyone is participating. It appears everyone is looking forward to the season.

Yep......and when 2010 comes along, we know that Ole Miss is replaced with Auburn, and NC ST replaced with what will be a very improved UNC program under Butch Davis......plus I imagine that Saban will have Bama ready to contend for the West...and perhaps Arkansas under Petrino may be on the rise....the only hope is that UF and UGA may be in a slight transitional period post-Tebow and Moreno, otherwise the '10 schedule will be as tough IMO as the '07 schedule was......
