SEC teams have gauntlets again, and they look like this:

Arky - 2nd
UGA - 3rd
Vandy - 4th
UF - 12th
UT - 16th
LSU - 19th
Bama - 24th
USC - 26th
Ole Miss - 29th
AU - 32nd
UK - 34th
MSU - 63rd

Average SEC SOS - 22

As usual, SEC schedules are slaughterhouses; and getting through one unscathed is a true accomplishment.

The ACC? This:

UVA - 9th
NCS - 10th
Maryland - 36th
GT - 37th
Miami - 44th
BC - 49th
F$U - 50th
Duke - 56th
UNC - 63rd
WFU - 68th
VT - 69th
Clemson - 73rd

Average ACC SOS - 47

That's a pretty clear indication that ACC teams in general are pretty weak, since their schedules are made up against each other. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Also note where Clemson and Bama end up on the list.

The 'best' ACC team has their weakest schedule. Bowden better not screw this one up, but I sure hope he finds a way.

Really dont understand why MSU's is so much worse than anyone elses. I guess it might be because they only play Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Kentucky from the East? But they do play Georgia Tech OOC.

Yeah, they don't play any of the East juggernauts, except UT. Also, GT isn't much of a boost; and the rest of their OOC schedule is Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, and 1AA Southeastern Louisiana.

Man I hope Bowden can find a way to give us the win, I sure wouldn't mind taking it.

Georgia Tech couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag.

For us, ours is going to be a bitch. We play some good teams but we play a lot of them on the road, which makes are doubly tough. Having to play at UGA, Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU is not going to be fun.

BTW, if UGA can come out of their schedule will only 1 loss, there is no doubt they will be in the chamionship game.

Everyone picking Clemson to do great things this season are all forgetting about the TBE (Tommy Bowden Effect). The only games that Clemson has lost over the last 3 seasons they have been favored in. Just think about it. If you win all the games you're favored to win over the last three seasons and you're undefeated. Clemson has had (on paper) the best team in the ACC for at least the last 4 seasons. They haven't even made the ACCCG in that span. They haven't even won more than 5 conference games in that span.

I refer to VI weekly during the season but their human analysis has never been at par with its computer generated handicapping. No way is Arky's schedule harder than UGA's, not when the Dawgs face more bowl teams and teams that were more highly ranked in the final polls.

Be that as it may, one simply cannot compare the ACC to the SEC in terms of strength or schedule strength as there IS none. While Bama does have the opportunity to deal the Conference and its presumed top team Clempson a body blow in the season opener, Ole Miss visits WF in Week 2, MSU is at GT in Week 4, SC opens with NCSt and closes with Clempson, Vandy has dook & closes with Wake, and UGA closes with GT. I think if the Rebs upset Wake, the SEC wins 4 or more of these 8 meetings.

Unless that one loss is to UF... then they won't even be in the SEC Championship game.;)

It's gonna be BOMB BOMB BOMB, BOMB BOMB THE GATORS!!!!!

An already weak (for an SEC Elite) Defense gets sucker punched with two tragic injuries (my condolences to the players) and what was looking to be a bit tougher task ain't so much now. Noobs in the Secondary = one more loss than you are figuring.

Welcome to the SEC Bobby Petrino. No cream puff Big East schedule here. At least you have a Dick for QB.

I guess only time will tell if our defense has improved or not. I hope you have to deal with a healthy Tebow this year though.
