Game Day
Ole Miss, The Grove
Georgia, UGA VI
Aaron’s Super Fan, Nathan Davis (Alabama)
*Experience Game Day around the Southeast. We’ll head to Oxford to take in the unique pre-game pageantry at the Grove. We’ll introduce our fans to one of college football’s most famous mascots…the UGA bulldog at Georgia and pay tribute to the recent passing of Uga VI. Finally, you’ve heard of super fans? We’ve got one fan who outshines all of the rest…Nathan Davis, the Alabama football tattoo man.
Announcers
Jim Hawthorne, Voice of LSU
Mick Hubert, Voice of Florida
*Our second show will feature some of the radio announcers who bring us college football every Saturday. We’ll get together with Jim Hawthorne who is not only the voice of the defending champs at LSU but also someone who is well known for his singing voice around Baton Rouge. Also, relive some of the three national title moments(football and basketball) at Florida with the voice of the Gators, Mick Hubert. Finally, we’ll go home with Maryland’s Tim Strachan who has overcome his disability to become an important and inspirational member of the Terps’ radio team.
Legends
Eli Manning, Ole Miss
Vince Dooley, Georgia
*We showcase some of the legends of college football including Eli Manning, who returned to Ole Miss this spring as MVP of Super Bowl XLII. We’ll go home with Hall of Fame Coach Vince Dooley who led Georgia to the 1980 National Championship and is now spending time cultivating his garden.
2008 Coaches
Houston Nutt, Ole Miss
Les Miles, LSU
Bobby Petrino, Arkansas
*Our fourth show will feature some of the head coaches that are making headlines this off-season. We’ll spend a day with Les Miles who brought a national title to LSU last year but always finds time to be a fan and a father at his children’s sporting events. We’ll talk to Houston Nutt who left his home state’s team of Arkansas to try to rebuild the Ole Miss program. Bobby Petrino replaced Nutt as the Razorbacks’ Head Coach and we got a chance to visit with the Head Hog on the football field and the golf course.
2008 Offensive Players
Tim Tebow, Florida
Kenny McKinley, South Carolina
*Our fifth show will highlight some of the offensive stars this coming season. We’ll talk with Florida’s Tim Tebow and go along with the Heisman Trophy winner to a Philippines orphanage and a Florida prison. We’ll also take a trip to the state of South Carolina and check in with one of the best receivers in the nation, South Carolina’s Kenny McKinley, who puts on an apron and shows us he’s got some talent around the grill as well.
2008 Defensive Players
Jeremy Jarmon, Kentucky
Kirston Pittman, LSU
*Our last show will feature some of the defensive stars for 2008. Jeremy Jarmon is a big hitter on the field but this Kentucky Wildcat also is a big hit on the stage. Kirston Pittman led LSU in sacks as the Tigers won the National Title last year but he also has some star potential off the field as a singer.
