SEC Unit Rankings: Receivers (http://www.southernpigskin.com/page.cfm?story=11763&cat=exclusives)
http://logoserver.com/college/FloridaGators1.GIF1. Florida - The Gators have the SEC's top wide receiver, All-American candidate Percy Harvin. Maybe the fastest receiver in college football, Harvin is one move away from a big play every time the football is in his hands. Him aside, senior Louis Murphy is a talented downfield threat. He caught 38 passes a year ago. Senior Cornelius Ingram is the premier tight end in the league. He caught 34 passes, including seven for touchdowns. At 6'7'', his size and athleticism make him a significant matchup problem.
http://www.logoserver.com/college/TennesseeVols3.GIF2. Tennessee - Senior Lucas Taylor is the only returning 1,000-yard receiver in the league. With 73 receptions, five touchdowns, he had a banner 2007 campaign. He, Austin Rodgers and Josh Brisco form a strong returning trio at wide receiver. They combined for 185 receptions last season.
http://logoserver.com/college/LSUTigers7.GIF3. LSU - Demetrius Byrd and Brandon LaFell are a stellar one-two punch at wide receiver. Byrd made headlines last season with his last second touchdown reception to beat Auburn. LaFell led the team in receptions with 50. With these two on the perimeter, there will be opportunities for talented tight end Richard Dickson down the middle of the field. He caught five touchdowns in 2007.
http://logoserver.com/college/SouthCarolinaGamecocks.GIF4. South Carolina - With 1,848 yards the past two seasons, senior Kenny McKinley is one of the top targets in the SEC. His nine touchdown receptions tied him for second in the conference a year ago. Junior Jared Cook is an impressive athlete at tight end. He caught 30 passes, averaging over 14 yards per reception. Dion Lecorn is an emerging talent.
5. Ole Miss - Despite this team's recent offensive struggles, Mike Wallace and Shay Hodge have put up strong numbers. Wallace is one of the nation's top big play threats. He averaged nearly 19 yards per reception last season, good for tenth in all of college football. Hodge led the team in receptions with 43. Dexter McCluster is another big play threat.

We go VERY deep at wide receiver. Behind the afore-mentioned players we have Gerald Jones on the cusp of becoming a star, Denarius Moore who has shined ever since arriving, Quintin Hancock whom many predicted would be a starter by now, Ahmad Paige who was the 14th best receiver in the nation when we grabbed him, and a slew of other much-capabale guys.

I can't wait to see that list this time next year. With all the play-makers we have coming in, I expect us to easily be in the top 5. Young talent or not.

I think we have the deepest threat at wide receiver and tight ends (MOST DEFF. Tight Ends!)
I just think we need a QB to throw it to them and a line to block the QB

And, if your QB develops as expected, this could make Tennessee the surprise bad boy of the SEC. With your always-good running game and the promise of a stellar passing game, the Vols could jump on everybody they play. It's going to be interesting!

I like the way you are thinking. If Crompton turns out being better than Ainge, we could very easily win the East even with all of the hype Florida and Georgia are getting.

I hope so. The East is going to be very tough this year. Florida and Georgia are going to be tough to get by. Both have off-weeks right before playing us...thank god we don't play you guys in the regular season.
