What do u all think of WVU in 2008 w/o RichRod? Sure, they played well in the bowl with the new coach (Stewart?), but many in Morgantown are not convinced he is the right man for the job.

I don't think they will enjoy the same dominance of the Big East that they did during RichRod's tenure for two reasons. First, as much as I never thought I would say this, the Big East actually is getting more competitive, with a few teams on the rise. Secondly, I doubt Stewart will be able to recruit as well as RichRod did and while that may not show for the first two or three years, it will further down the road.

They will probably have a decent year with the players they have returning, but their BCS days are pretty much done, IMO.

I have to agree with you on the competitiveness of the Big East as last year showed. Rutgers is a solid program, USF is solid and getting better, UConn is much-improved in the past 2-3 years, Pitt has reasons to think they will be decent (despite Wannestadt), Louisville was good and has a solid coach who I think will get them where they need to be and Cincinnati is getting better as well.

Nah, they fell in love with the OU score and made an emotional hire....
He might be the answer, but I doubt it.
I was just thinking about this earlier today as a matter of fact. Weird. I think they will fall back to mediocrity fairly fast.
