I actually think it could be a blessing in disguise, and here's why:
For one, I think our strength of schedule will help us tremendously in the rankings, especially if we drop a game (or dare I say 2). And should we WIN all these games, we will get all the more respect for doing so, because everyone has been saying we can't do it.
But the big thing I think is; we will have to get up to play EVERY WEEK. You fellow Dawgs know how we've had the tendency to show up for big games and get caught napping in games we should win easily. Our schedule this year will not allow us to take any games lightly. There will be no sleeper upsets. Once we hit week 3 of the season, its going to be full throttle from there on out. I think this helps us more than hurts us. Having our boys compete at the highest level every week, and not having weeks against teams like the Citadel (cough cough, Florida) will save them from the danger of getting caught off guard, or perhaps getting lazy playing a bad opponent the week before a big game. They will bring their A game every week, and they'll be prepared every week.
Everyone keeps saying our schedule sucks... but I've been thinking it might actually help us.
