For every fan there has always been a moment during your team's game where you don't know whether to stick your head between your legs or go huddle over a toilet. For me that has happened more than once. Here are just a couple of them.
Georgia vs. Tennessee 2003
Sean Jones 92 yd fumble return for a touchdown after a faulty hand off between Casey Clausen and Jabari Daivs that made the game 20-7 Georgia instead of 14-13. I had never heard Neyland Stadium so silent in my life. I don't think I moved or said a word the entire halftime. Georgia went on to blow us out 41-14.
LSU vs. Tennessee 2005
After being dominated the entire first half. Erik Ainge in our own endzone decides to try to throw the ball away isntead of taking a safety. While getting his head slammed into a goal post he manages to throw the ball right to an LSU player who scored the touchdown and continued to poor it on us. Ironically that game took me from the lowest low to the highest high with a 2nd half come back by my Vols. And then we went 5-6.
Let's here some of you guys most darkest moments as a fan.

I will have to say recently the freakin Flea Flicker or watchamacalet play UT pulled on the Dawgs this past season. After that ball was thrown to I think it was Lemarkus Coker I knew we were in for a long day. I couldnt believe that jibberish worked and it deffinetely took us out of the game, something that wasnt easily done to UGA last season. That play just made me laugh and want to throw a beer through the wall.

You think YOU had it bad? I was sitting in Neyland stadium, surrounded by nothing by fans in that disgusting orange... because my buddy and I bought tickets in different places, foolishly thinking that Neyland would be much like Sanford, where you just sit in the general area of your seats, and not the exact location. WRONG. Those vols actually want the section of bleacher their number is printed on to be the location where they plop their ass. So there I was, miserable..... just miserable.

I would have to say that the way we played most games my freshman year was very predictable..My friend made a song for MSU football...Up the middle, up the middle, play action pass..Punt the ball, get the ball back...That was what we did all the time..

Hey, that sounds like the gator song!
"Tebow up the middle, Up the middle yeah!
Tebow off the weak side, run him round the back!
Tebow off the strong side, try to stop him now!
Tebow up the middle again, we're really rollin' now!"

Uh as a gamecock fan, there are many:brick:
-07 Clemson (letting Clemson convert 4th and 6 with 1:30 to go, USC led 21-20 at the time; they lost 21-23)
-07 Tennessee (everything after the 1:54 mark in the 4th quarter)
-07 Vanderbilt (the whole f****** game, starting out 6-1 to lose to Vandy)
-06 Florida (all three blocked field goals) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=H1nlYLDlFNA)
-06 Arkansas (http://youtube.com/watch?v=OvGi3NSJUuE)(tipping up a TD pass to Arkansas, they scored on a hail mary play as time expired in the half; USC went on to lose by 6 pts)
-03 Clemson (63-17...the darkest moment in Gamecock history...darker than 0-11 IMO)
-02 Georgia (Pinnock fumbles on the goal line as time expires, USC loses 7-13)
-00 Clemson (http://youtube.com/watch?v=SPtVKOiQGO4&feature=related) (the push off play)
-84 Navy (the whole game, we would've been #1 & 10-0 had we beaten Navy)
oh yeah, and hiring Brad Scott!
There are many, many, many more...these are just some of the more recent ones.

You took the words right from me.
Especially DJ Hall. What a time for our best WR to choke...the ball was IN HIS HANDS and he was IN THE ENDZONE...but no. I guess it wasn't meant to be *shrugs*
Turned out to be perhaps the biggest play of the ballgame.

Two things that really ticked me off last year were Kestahn Moore fumbling and Kyle Jackson taking the most horrible angles to balls I've ever seen. Perfect example is the Ole Miss game where he went up for an interception on a horrible line and gave up a TD.

This was in 1999 or 2000. UGA was leading Florida by 2 touchdowns just before the half. We were marching down the field for a another score when Quincy (Overrated) Carter throws an INT in the inzone to Lito Shepard. Shepard gets away from 4 or 5 mistackles and takes it all the way to about the 10 yard line. I think they scored on the very next play. I was there to watch Florida roll all the way back for an easy W.

2005 - UT vs. Vanderbilt (Rick Clausen pass intercepted with time no time remaining)
2003 - UT vs. Georgia (Clausen fumbles and Jones recovers for Touchdown)
2006 - UT vs. Penn State (Arian Foster fumble recovered for Touchdown)
2005 - UT vs. Georgia (Georgia defender beheads UT receiver causing a "fumble")
2005 - UT vs. Alabama (Arian Foster fumble out of the endzone)
2007 - UT vs. California (DeSean Jackson returns a punt for a Touchdown)
2005 - UT vs. Notre Dame (Back to back missed catches on deep routs by Robert Meachem)

Like Cockfan stated earlier, the 2000 Rod Gardner push. I will say that a no call was very appropriate for that play. Both Goodman and Gardner were pushing and shoving each other. What really pisses me off about the whole thing, though, is that earlier in the game, they called offensive pass interference on our very own Brian Scott. The two plays were IDENTICAL, except Scott's was a TD called back. If you're gonna call it, call it both ways.

I am not sure the exact years, but when I went to school 1989-1993, we were in the midst of a huge losing streak to Alabama. Two of those years included plays that will live in infamy for Vols fans.
I think it was 1990 or 91 when we played a defensive standstill the whole game and it was tied near the end of the game 3-3. We lined up for a game winning field goal and it was blocked and rolled, and rolled, and rolled clear to the other side of the field. In my nightmares I can still see that ball rolling. It set up a game winning field goal for the Tide. We lose 6-3.
The other one was I think the next year. Tennessee was dominating the game, but not the scoreboard. One reason for this was a pitch to James "Little Man" Stewart at our one yard line that hit his face mask instead of his hands. Fumble and the Tide recover. We were still winning the game by 8 with little time left, but Bama scored at the end of the game and needed a two point conversion. The whole world new David Palmer was getting it except the Vols. Sure enough a hand off to Palmer and he was able to turn the corner for the conversion. Tie game and the streak of not beating Bama continued.

For most hogs fans it was the 1998 game in Knoxville. Leading #1 Tennessee 24-21 with 1:43 to play, all the Razorbacks needed to do was run 3 plays and run out the clock. Stoerner fumbled the ball on 2nd down, which Tennessee recovered, went on to score and preserve their national championship season with 28-24 victory.
Arkansas entered that game 8-0 by winning the following games.
Louisiana-Lafayette - 38-17
SMU - 44-17
Alabama - 42-6
Kentucky - 27-20
at Memphis - 23-9
at South Carolina - 41-28
at Auburn - 24-21
Mississippi - 34-0
Still reeling from the Vols loss, Nutt took his dejected team into Starkville where they suffered their 2nd straight loss, losing to the Bulldogs 22-21.
The following week LSU came into Little Rock and the Hogs unleashed their frustrations out on the Tigers, by soundly defeating them 41-14. The hogs accepted a bid to the Outback bowl where they lost to Michigan 45-31
Arkansas would finish the year with a record of 9-3. and co-champions of the western division and ranked 16 in the final AP poll.
A very close 2nd to me was the Reggie Fish mishandle of the punt against Florida in 2006. I guess it was the most recent and I really thought that Arkansas that year was flying under everyone's radar and put themselves in place to have a great chance to get to the BCS bowl as the way the cards were laid out with 4 games to play. We the momentum in the hogs favor, and having the Gators on the ropes, that decision Reggie made cost the hogs dearly and a great chance for McFadden to win the Heisman.

cant pinpoint ONE play but I will say that seeing virtually new unleashed offense plays and schemes in bowl games pissed me off with Tubs. We lost regular season games because we did not run certain plays at certain times.
Then we go to the bowl game, and every play in the playbook is utilized and we play great.

That 9-6 game was in '90, the Palmer game was in '93. Palmer lined up @ QB and ran around the left end for the conversion. Bama was completely dominated the whole game until Jay Barker lead the team for a late TD.

The game that still sticks in my mind is 2006 against Florida. My goodness at how awful we played in that game. Russell's fumbled snap on the UF goal-line, 5 total turnovers. A blocked punt. A safety. Pathetic.

I think an obvious choice for a Auburn fan would be the 2005 LSU game. AU did EVERYTHING to win that game including a 200+ yard performance by RB Kenny Irons (who said before the game he was going to put up 200). It was either four or five (I try to blank it out of my mind) missed field goals by John Vaughn. A true blown opportunity at a rare win in Baton Rouge.
Another would be the dropped TD pass by WR Ben Obomanu in the end zone against Ole Miss (2003 I think).
Side note: both Ben Obomanu and John Vaughn ended up doing great things in their time at Auburn.
