I'm surprised you have UT in front of AU being that AU UGA is the oldest rivalry in the south.
Tennessee's 3 biggest:
1. Alabama
2. Florida
3. Georgia

3) Ole Miss - and it's about to get a lot worse
All three rivalries are growing and as Arkansas continues to grow in the SEC, I expect LSU fans to begin to think of us as more of a rivalry as well.

1. LSU- nuff said
2. MSU- nuff listened too
3. Ark- It was one forty years and more ago and now it has grown Nutts.
4. Tenn- No respect from them when "Archie Who" got started and hearing Fulmer say he wanted to hang 50 on us with Cut standing behind him wasn't cool.
5. Auburn- Still don't like how Tub left and what he stole when he left.
6. Ala- With our record with ya and the way the last three years played out, dang it I want to beat ya!
7. Vandy- They could lose every game but they gonna play us close no matter what. That game is nerve racking.
8. Ga- Just another Bulldog.
9. USC- It's hard to find something here. Ok, I'm not supposed to like yo coach.
10. Fla- You used to have the same coach as USC is best I can do.
11. KY- I will leave any team alone that has those two letters in their name.
Yet I really enjoy the love/hate feelings the sec gives me. I wouldn't trade any of them for any other team out there. I just want to beat ya! Thats all. Nothing personal except for the top six on the list. At least not too personal.

4. LSU
5. Tennessee ( see #3)
6. GT- This game needs to happen every year.

I was seriously wondering how a Auburn fan would list LSU as a bigger rival than Georgia. That just didn't make sense to me.

2. Florida
3. Indiana

REALLY? Tennessee nowhere on that list? My cousin was a UK player, and I've spent a lot of time up in Lexington at football games and downtown at McCarthy's and what not... and I got the feeling that UK fans hate UT with a passion.

True - UT belongs on the list... likely above Indiana but I was thinking more out of conference I guess. I would rather watch the Indiana game... more likelihood of winning.

1. LSU - pure hate
2. MSU - little brother syndrome
3. Bama - pure bitterness
Honorable mention: Aub - Tubs; Ark - Nutt; Tenn - Phat Phil
Ark could very easily jump to #3 on this list depending on how the next few years shake out. Being a relatively younger guy, I had never really thought of Ark as much of a rival, but those Hogs eff'n hate us now! LSU and State should be givens. Most older OM fans are still quite bitter towards Bama going back to the John Vaught/Bear Bryant rivalry, and that bitterness has consequently been passed on to their kids and grandkids (me). But the Tigers and Bullies are easily the top two teams I and most other Rebels want to beat on an annual basis.

While the Ole Miss rivalry has been dormant for more decades than I've been alive, it's about to become significant again. Most Arkansas fans were ready for nutt to go, but he and our chancellor bamboozled us into paying him to go and for him to pick a team in the same division shows his hate for us and why our chancellor is no longer our chancellor.
LSU is our made up rivalry, but I think if the Hogs pull off a couple of years in a row where we win, the Bayou Bengals will have more emotions about the game.
I think we have a friendly rivalry with Alabama as most of the Bama fans I've talked to at games have said they don't hate us, but look forward to the game every year. It does set the tone for both teams each year and is one that I look forward to each year.

Seriously! The LSU rivalry really only started in 1992. Before that we only played sporatically. UGA 1892. 100 years difference- no contest. Every other team on my list has a ton more history of animosity w/ AU than LSU. Although I will say that with all the crazy Sh#t that seems to happen when we play LSU, we are making up for lost time quickly.

UGA (oldest rivalry in the south is more important to me than some meaningless IRON BOWL. Especially since Alabama wont win one again until NEXT decade)
Bama (whatever)

orch orch orch--I sure haven't heard that before! Good luck this fall, though. Also, if y'all manage to scrape a decent record, good luck with your coaching search this winter.

Thanks, you too. I have a feeling we'll both have our current coaches for a few years to come which should make for some heated games.

I was talking over all sports. The series' used to be good ones with great hatred. Even to this day we still do most campus competitions with Kentucky (blood drives, etc.). The history not only with basketball but football as well makes Kentucky a top historical rival, in my book.

I've noticed something...We are generally hated pretty well.
We will rarely ever show up as some team's #1 rival, but we end up on many teams' top 3...Interesting (Florida has Florida State, Alabama has Auburn, Georgia has Florida/Auburn/Georgia Tech, Kentucky has Louisville, South Carolina has Clemson). Really Vanderbilt is the only one, and it's just that "Little Brother" syndrome. Oh, and Memphis is to Tennessee's as Cousin Eddie is to Clark Griswold.
