For Bama I have to go with Javy Arenas (kick returner). This guy amazes me everytime he touches the ball.
Check out this video someone posted on BOL.

I'd have to say the same.
I coulda sworn we won the LSU game as soon as he ran back that punt for a TD, but NOOOOO how could I put it past JPW to give away yet another game.....
Rolando McClain followed by Rashaad Johnson followed by the youngsters coming in as well! :D

I would've said Anthony Johnson but his status with the team is unsure.. I guess I will say Derek Pegues.

If the Oline could have stepped up you never know what could have happened.
I'm praying that the Oline can be as good as advertised this year!

The O-Line was a problem but thats not it....
The blame falls squarely on that pretty boy MTV "Two-a-Days" Hoover f@gg#t.
I mean throw the damn ball away or something so we can punt, not give them the ball on the 2 or throw a 100 yard interception to give away the game.
We were 1 yard away from a touchdown to seal the Miss St. game and come on who saw that crap coming? Only JPW, only JPW.....that bastard.

For one thing, Wilson wasn't on Two-A-Days, that is your first mistake.
Secondly, he isn't a homosexual.
Tertiary, the Mississippi State game was lost when he got flushed out of the pocket and had to hurry up a pass BEFORE HALFTIME.
The rest of the team quit after that, they gave up.
Lastly, you can't judge a man by the color of his skin or the color of his eyes or his hair style. Wilson has fire and a desire to do better and he beats out whatever other QB's Alabama has and he does so fairly and by hard work.
I sense a bit of racism in your tone, that would be unfortunate.
You should examine why you expect a QB to win every game for your team. There is enough blame to go around, trust me. I am sure you could take ear drum bursting licks over and over and stand tall in the pocket and still make the play, but everyone isn't as talented as you.
I am sure that having 3 different offensive coordinators telling you a thousand different ways to do the same thing over a 3 year period would not affect you because you are probably super good, but everyone isn't like you.
I am equally sure that not having a running back to speak of during your two years as a starter would not affect your game either. You are naturally a Colt Brennan type who doesn't rely on running backs, what SEC QB isn't?
It goes without saying that you would also not require an offensive line that actually understood the concept of not letting the people in the different color jerseys run by you 75% of the time.
You don't need no stinking offensive line, they are for faggots, right?
Am I saying that Wilson is fantastic, of course not. I cringed many of times when he lost the ball or threw an interception and said, damn that Wilson. But, as I cooled down and analyzed the game, I could determine that other people were also not doing their jobs, but they are not as noticeable as the quarterback.
On an aside, I am going to give you an example of how you sound to others but I am going to reverse it and talk about another player the same way you were talking about Wilson.
Here you go:
You want to talk about disappointing, let's talk Jimmy Johns. He is the definition of a ball squirting running back who is dumb as a stick and has been moved around to every spot on the roster over the years trying to find a position that he has enough brains to play. Not to mention that stupid look he always has on his face, you can just tell his is thick. Thanks for fumbling away the Louisiana-Monroe game, Jimmy, you genius you. What a faggot.
See, man, you can't determine what a man or player's worth is by his advantages in life or what you feel may be his pampered upbringing. There are just as many black young men coming into college football that are just as good looking as Wilson is, have families that are just as rich and had the exact same lifestyle as Wilson and many other white players did growing up in the suburbs. Do you call them faggots?
Jay Barker, I am sure according to you, was a pretty boy. His new wife thinks so. He won more games than any QB in Alabama history. The thing is, he had a solid granite rock wall protecting him as he leisurely took his sweet time and made his passes. Even Miami's vaunted defense couldn't penetrate the wall. Do you see the difference in QB's who have adequate protection and those who don't? Barker was not a really great QB, he was average, but the team surrounding him played with him and that allowed him and the team to be successful.
With all of that being said you are trashing an Alabama football player that as of right now, even before his senior season, holds the records for:
Most Plays in A Season
Most Yardage in A Season
Most Pass Attempts in A Season
Most Pass Completions in A Season
Most Yards Passing in A Season
Most Touchdowns in A Season
And more records are to belong to him as he completes his last year.

That's the spirit. Why, after this season, he might also own the records for:
Most passes completed to opponents
Most tackles by a QB
Most passes attempted with eyes closed
Most fights lost to teammates
:D
Just kidding... I actually said in another thread that JPW should be significantly better in his senior year.

For one thing, Wilson wasn't on Two-A-Days, that is your first mistake.
Oh contrare (SP?) my dear friend Altie, he WAS on Two-A-Days, not as the star, you are correct, BUT nonetheless he was on the show when the camera's followed into the Wilson household. You might wanna watch again, guarantee you'll see the douchebag.
Secondly, he isn't a homosexual.
Once again, I'm just gonna have to disagree with you on this statement. Nothing to back my opinion up this time, just my opinion.
Tertiary, the Mississippi State game was lost when he got flushed out of the pocket and had to hurry up a pass BEFORE HALFTIME.
The rest of the team quit after that, they gave up.
Man, how hard is it to throw the ball away instead of a damn INT. I mean he frickin threw the first 3 passes of A-Day this year away for a nice little 3 and out to start everything off. Where was that keen ability to incomplete a pass in that game? Bro, I'd give up too if I had a hack as JPW for quarterback and if I was DJ Hall I would have whooped his ass too. Whats the difference in a 9-3 season vs 6-6? The JPW Factor. I mean your quarterback just gave away the game once again how much energy can you possibly have?
Lastly, you can't judge a man by the color of his skin or the color of his eyes or his hair style. Wilson has fire and a desire to do better and he beats out whatever other QB's Alabama has and he does so fairly and by hard work.
I sense a bit of racism in your tone, that would be unfortunate.
I absolutely have no idea where you're going with this part of the post.
I'm white bro, dunno whether you caught that or not, but I can't be racist to another white guy that doesnt make any sense. Wilson might have the "fire and desire" but quite frankly my friend thats not enough to cut it for a Win. You always hear Saban praising JPW for his character, his effort, his will to try and do better, all of which are good things, dont get me wrong, but you never hear him say jack squat about anything actually ATHLETIC or any facet related to actually playing the game. I want someone who can actually play the fricking game man not just "want" to be good or better at it. Maybe thats a high expectation but here at Alabama we arent going to settle for someone who's been "trying" to get better for his entire career.
It's still comes down to him fumbling, him throwing the interception, him being nothing but a complete and utter HACK. I'm gonna throw a party the day that kid graduates. Here's to the last year, FINALLY! WOOOOOT!
On an aside, I am going to give you an example of how you sound to others but I am going to reverse it and talk about another player the same way you were talking about Wilson.

Umm....HEHEHE, whether you know it or not you just said word for word how I felt about Jimmy and the ULM game. The fault of that game was split between JP's stupid interceptions and the butterfingers Jimmy. I mean how damn hard can it be to get a frickin yard man or actually hold on to the ball. I sat there wondering how many more chances are they going to give us to come back and not have the biggest embarrassment of this entire decade....and then it never happened. We were the biggest embarrassment thanks to the key few idiots.
I call everybody f@ggots man LOL, the whole Hoover f@ggot thing is just a little inside funny between me and some friends. I dont feel like typing the story right now but yeah thats where that came from....
If only you knew how many times that term is thrown about down here in Bama. Very common. Very, very common.
Jay Barker, I am sure according to you, was a pretty boy. His new wife thinks so. He won more games than any QB in Alabama history. Jay Barker is/was and always will be just that to me, Jay Barker the National Title winning QB for us in 1992. I don't really have anything more to say about that other than, Thanks Jay! :D Yes QB's with good protection fare better than those that don't but I'm not concerned about that, it always comes back to the mere fact that JPW is the leader and those WERE his mistakes and they DID cost us those 3 games last season(LSU, ULM, MSU).
Now we understand each other a little more hopefully! :)
Man I hope people aren't annoyed with this extremely long post, sorry fellas!

How did I know you would break out the ol' JPW owns records bit....
I've heard this from so many other Bama fans....not even of significance at all.
I mean should I give him a frickin cookie or something for all those records?
Let me put it this way Altie, DJ Hall owns NEARLY every WR record in the Alabama books but look how far that got him on NFL Draft day....
Point. Blank. Period. Records will get you nowhere especially if you dont turn all those stats and records into something that actually matters called WINS.

Not to steal any thunder from the Alabama fans, but no one really gives 2 sh*ts whether or not JPW is any good.
Now as far as my favorite player on our team, that's a tough one. The obvious choice would be Tebow, Spikes or Harvin, but outside of those two it would either be Chris Rainey, Carlos Dunlap, Deonte Thompson or Major Wright.

Yeah, on offense, as far as guys I can't wait to see break some ankles, it's Rainey. On defense, we got a glimpse of what Major Pain was going to bring to guys passing the line of scrimmage... I can't wait to see how much better he is, and the licks he's sure to deliver. Spikes will be awesome as usual... could the guy have a better name for a LB?

I am going to have to go with Demonte Bolden. Ever since the Alabama game he has been a personal favorite. The reason is he was the only player to make a tackle in the Bama game before a first down was made. The only other tackles were made by our secondary 10-20-30 yards down the field. I think a few good tackles were made in the endzone, but those do not count.

The fan favorite on defense is Jasper Brinkley. My favorite, though, is definitely E. Cook. He's fun to watch and seems to just love trying his hardest to knock the other guy out. On offense, I think it's almost a unanimous selection for Kenny.

^Jeremy Jarmon is definitely a defensive favorite here in the Bluegrass. However, my favorite overall is Dicky Lyons Jr. Ever since he ran his mouth openly in the press as a sophomore 2 years before the Mississippi State game, saying that we would beat them and that Kentucky should never lose to the Bulldogs....then going out there and getting the damn thing done, he became my favorite Wildcat. I'm hyped for him this year. WO is all him....big things for Dicky this season.
I also like Micah Johnson alot. Solid contributor, good head on his shoulders. One of those guys you just gotta root for, y'know?

For me I have a few different players I really like: Javier Arenas, Andre Smith, Nick Walker, Rolondo McClain, Zeke Knight, and Rashad Johnson.
My favorite would have to be Kareem Jackson though. I think he is going to be a very good one at CB for the Tide. He really stepped up last year as a freshman. It was like a light went on for him during the UT game and continued his solid play the rest of the year.

On offense gotta go with the crowd favorite Knowshon. A close second would be Trinton Sturdivant for his superior dance moves on the field of play. Actually my second favorite is probably Southerland. I was bummed to see he may be out the first 3 or 4 weeks of the season. The guy is hard worker and an athletic talent and his very underrated on our team. He can do anything that is asked of him. Get the tough yardage, block for our RB's and catch the ball out of the backfield.
On D, I like Rennie Curran and Asher Allen.
To Geechee's point, they're all my favorite, but

As for me, my favorite was Cory Boyd, but now that he's gone my new favorite is definitely E. Cook. Like Deltor said, Jasper is the best on our team and a definite fan favorite, but E. Cook is sick nasty and fun to watch. He lays the wood and I love it.

My favorite offensive player is Arian Foster. He runs through the defense like a gazelle. He reminds me of Scottie Pippen dribbling the ball up the court on a fast break during the heyday of the Bulls. He does not have blinding speed, but he is really smooth when he gets in the open field. He is very fun to watch.

Gotta love Rashad Johnson. Guy comes out of nowhere as a walk-on, and emerges into one of the best starting safeties in the SEC. He's all heart...definitely one of those feel-good stories. Plus I loved what he talked about on the "Under the Lights" show the other night, about how it was the best time to be a football player at the University of Alabama...even after all the hardships and struggles, he has no regrets.
I'm also a big fan of Terry Grant just because he's a class act all the way. In an age where flips into the endzone, touchdown dances, ball-spiking, and excessive celebrations are the norm...watch TG after he runs one in. He'll simply and respectfully hand the ball back to the official without taunting anyone. The man acts like he's been there before.
