THE NEXT POSTER TO START AN ATTACK THREAD IS GONNA GET A VACATION. COOL IT!!!! I'm closing all of them. It's OK to rib a fans team...but this is getting personal.

It struck me off-guard how classless some of the personal insults directed at me were.
Sure, I was being a tad confrontational trying to prove a point about how it is accepted and the normal thing to insult Saban but it is off limits to mention Richt even though he does really stupid stuff.
I freely admit that I may have taken it too far and I really do apologize for that, but man, the Georgia fans went to a whole other level. Some really disgusting things were said.
Anyway, this will be my last post on any of the topics because I do not want to get banned for saying anything bad about Richt.
Again, I apologize for any ill will I have created and for letting some of you see how it feels to be a 'Bama fan and have to accept the insults so freely thrown at our coach, as if it is just normal.

Went wrong? I would say the whole thread was the definition of trash talking, including my posts. If somehow you imagine I failed in the trash talking department, please enlighten me.
Granted, I didn't stoop way down into the gutter, that isn't my style. People who do that let their emotions carry them away.
When threads goes completely out of control like a couple of the latest ones did, that went pretty much right, correct? I mean, if you feel need to give a summary of the proper way to trash talk, please do so.
Maybe you meant to say some of the other posters went wrong by gravely insulting another poster in very personal ways. That is when they lost their dignity, I never lost mine.

Perhaps begging was a poor choice of words; I only meant that in a metaphorical sense.
I understand what you are saying though, but don't worry. I haven't personally attacked anyone or anything horrible. Some guys just felt like getting their whine on when I mentioned their coach in a way they didn't approve of.
Just because 15 of them call for me to be banned because I said something they didn't like about Mark Richt doesn't mean I will be banned. It just means they want me to be banned.
You are right though, I am as tired of all of this as everyone else is and really, really plan on this being my last post on it no matter what.

You know, when I was 9, my little brother threatened to run away. He jumped on his bike and rode around in front of the house for 45 minutes... the entire time he kept screaming and hollering that he was going to leave. Nothing my parents could do was going to make him change his mind. Of course he came in and ate dinner with the rest of us 45 minutes later.
For some reason, I'm now reminded of this story!! :glare::laugh:
