Why Mark Richt Is A Disgrace To College Football

Mark Richt has taught his team to be horrible sports and horrible winners. He has instilled in them a thug attitude and he fosters that attitude at every chance. This tells me that he doesn't really care about his players, but only about wins and more money in his pocket.

Last year, before the Florida game, he screams at his players that if they did not receive a penalty after the first touchdown that Georgia scored, there would be hell to pay. Supposedly he screamed this at the team in the locker room, right before the game, as big, bulging veins were popping out of his angry head.

He instructs them to rush the field, cause as much trouble as you can, trample anyone who gets in your way, try to bring everything to a standstill so all eyes will be on you, you have to have that attention because it is your house. Defend your house and do what you got to do to anyone who gets in your way, including referees.

Two weeks later, against Auburn, Richt instructs his players to perform the Soulja Boy dance named Crank Dat (Soulja Boy). He tells them that they better do the dance on the sidelines or there would be consequences. Richt claimed that by having them dance to a song about soaking a whore's back with semen and then sticking a towel to it so she would appear as Superman would be demoralizing to the Auburn fans and team who weren't used to that kind of thing. It would give them an advantage.

He got a big kick out it. When the dance started on the sidelines and then spread to the Georgia players on the field, Richt knew his plan had come to fruition, perfectly. The way he was smiling on the sidelines as all of his players did the dance was proof enough that he was happy and proud.

Some ideas that this pious and Christian man had earlier in the year were dismissed by the players, they said they just wouldn't do it no matter what punishment he was prepared to dole out. He wanted them to flash gang signs during the South Carolina game but the players flat out refused. The reason was they said that they had to go back home and their lives may be in danger for flashing the signs on national T.V, that it could cause them problems.

For the Alabama game, he tried to convince the players to spit on any Alabama fan they could get close to in order to get everyone rattled, he said it would give them an advantage. Again, the players said that just wasn't their thing and they were prepared to run laps or whatever, they weren't doing it.

Now, all the college football world can do is sit back and wait to see what tricks and underhandedness Richt, the saint, pulls this coming year. Whatever it is, it will be pure Richt football, that is what he is known for now.

Richt had determined that the team lacked passion and that challenging the Seniors to provide leadership in this fashion was worth a try. The players ran to the end zone and celebrated, earning the Dawgs enough penalties to kickoff from the 5 yard line. (Florida would score on that possession too.)

Two weeks later, against Auburn, Richt called for a BLACKOUT. When the Dawgs broke out of the locker room in the Black Jerseys, the stage for a monumental win was set. The Dawgs dominated Auburn for the second season in a row and kept alive their chance to represent the East should UT lose to either Vandy or UK.

After the Dawgs stunned Bama in OT to win the game, the Dawgs were showered with debris that included glass whiskey bottles by upset bammernechtrash fans. Richt & AD Damon Evans fired off a letter to their Alabama counterparts concerning the situation and from photos and film, several Bama fans had their ticket privileges revoked and an official apology was extended by the University of Alabama to UGA.

As a Gator fan directly affected by the antics at the WLOCP last year, I'd tell you that it was not very classy, and definitely unsportsmanlike... I don't care how many times another team has your number. Doing that just shows desperation.

Having said that, I also thought it was extremely uncharacteristic of Richt... and apparently so did he, hence the written and verbal apology to UF players, coaches, and fans. I think he legitimately felt bad afterwards, after he had time to think about it. What I mean when I say that, is that Richt has always presented himself to be above reproach, and an asset to the conference. Other than that one lapse in judgement, I've always respected how the man went about his business. I give Dawg fans as hard a time as anybody (until now); but I've never considered Richt anything but a fine coach and human being.

Mark Richt has taught his team to be horrible sports and horrible winners. He has instilled in them a thug attitude and he fosters that attitude at every chance. This tells me that he doesn't really care about his players, but only about wins and more money in his pocket.

Last year, before the Florida game, he screams at his players that if they did not receive a penalty after the first touchdown that Georgia scored, there would be hell to pay. Supposedly he screamed this at the team in the locker room, right before the game, as big, bulging veins were popping out of his angry head.

He instructs them to rush the field, cause as much trouble as you can, trample anyone who gets in your way, try to bring everything to a standstill so all eyes will be on you, you have to have that attention because it is your house. Defend your house and do what you got to do to anyone who gets in your way, including referees.

Two weeks later, against Auburn, Richt instructs his players to perform the Soulja Boy dance named Crank Dat (Soulja Boy). He tells them that they better do the dance on the sidelines or there would be consequences. Richt claimed that by having them dance to a song about soaking a whore's back with semen and then sticking a towel to it so she would appear as Superman would be demoralizing to the Auburn fans and team who weren't used to that kind of thing. It would give them an advantage.

He got a big kick out it. When the dance started on the sidelines and then spread to the Georgia players on the field, Richt knew his plan had come to fruition, perfectly. The way he was smiling on the sidelines as all of his players did the dance was proof enough that he was happy and proud.

Some ideas that this pious and Christian man had earlier in the year were dismissed by the players, they said they just wouldn't do it no matter what punishment he was prepared to dole out. He wanted them to flash gang signs during the South Carolina game but the players flat out refused. The reason was they said that they had to go back home and their lives may be in danger for flashing the signs on national T.V, that it could cause them problems.

For the Alabama game, he tried to convince the players to spit on any Alabama fan they could get close to in order to get everyone rattled, he said it would give them an advantage. Again, the players said that just wasn't their thing and they were prepared to run laps or whatever, they weren't doing it.

Now, all the college football world can do is sit back and wait to see what tricks and underhandedness Richt, the saint, pulls this coming year. Whatever it is, it will be pure Richt football, that is what he is known for now.
