View Full Version : Obama cringes: Rev. Wright on tour

Watching the morning news and my favorite Martian is speaking before the National Press Club today, removing any lingering doubt in any mind capable of self awareness that the NPC has forsaken whatever Journalistic integrity it may have harbored. Wright is nobody but a loudmouthed fakir with a connection to another fakir who blindly followed his racially bigoted ideology interspersed with Gospel.
I suppose we can look forward to more of this:

Obama is saying he should be president, instead of two much more experienced rivals, because of his superior judgment. But what kind of judgment is needed to select Wright as a surrogate father figure?

It would take 10,000 Lawyers 10,000 years to prove it, roflmao!

sorry aufan but I'm not going to be able to vote this year...I can't bring myself to vote for someone I have doubts about but your grandfather was a great man to give his life for our country at Pearl Harbor. God Bless him.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised a bit. I wouldn't put anything past her and I would be scared for my life to run against her. Bonnie and Clyde's death trail don't have anything on Hillary and Bill's.

timNem is probably right "on the money!" And are we surprised who it is that is giving the Racist Right Rev the platform to be a "keynote speaker"...NAACP. And I'm sure that because Bill Clinton was the first black president, I sure he is the one arranging and even possibly paying for all the speaking engagements for the Right Rev. This guy and David Duke have got to be in bed with each other somehow! Their message is the same.

Wright & Obama think that America is the "bad guy" in the world, when, in reality, we are the leader among the few "good guys." Our United States is certainly not perfect but it is light years better than most other nations. Vis a vis immigrants flocking to get in, no one flocking to get out.

The last time a boat load of Americans had to be rescued in Cuban waters was when the USS Maine sank.

None of us have actually heard the entire sermon and there are many in the african-american community that say that this is normal in their church. The man served in the Navy and put his life at risk, I'm not going to call him anti-american. People praise McCain for serving the country as they should but the same treatment should be given to Wright. I'm not agreeing with Wright's comments and I think a couple of them are way out there, but if you listen to him with an open mind some of the things he has said were actually true. The quote about chicken heads or something was when he was quoting the Iraqi general, they weren't his words. I agree when he said that we committed terrorism on other countries and we should expect it happen to us. That is reality and he is saying what many people are thinking but are afraid to say it. I'm sure I'll be flamed for this post, but quite honestly, I don't care.

So what, we shoudl flock out all the immigrants? There is a reason why VERY few people and countries in this world actually have a positive outlook towards us. The British and Austrialian governments might like us but when you ask there people, they hate us. We have to fix our image in the world, Bush has destroyed it and I don't know who can fix it.

Yea, Wright is no different than the late JB Stoner. He was also grossly mis-quoted and unfairly castigated for his stance that all Blacks should be shipped back to Africa where they rightfully belonged, that interracial marriage was damnable, and that only White Christians were the Chosen People of God.
Serving in the military doesn't cleanse ones words any more than hiding behind a pulpit. Black churches by and large don't advocate racial and/or social hatred nor do they call for insurrection. Wright is as clever as his media handlers wish him to be, no different from that assclown Sharpton.

I don't want to speak for him, but I don't think he is saying we should kick out all of this immigrants. He's just saying that this country is better than most (if not all), and the evidence is all of the folks trying to get in. This country was built on immigration, and I don't think anyone in their right mind wants that to stop. However, there is a process in place, and if immigrants should abide by the rules and guidelines of that process. If they don't, then send them back from whence they came. Better yet, stop them from getting here without adhering to the process in the first place.

So this is all just some highschool popularity contest now?
I understand being a good neighbor in the world community, but there is a disturbing number of people who think we should bend to the will of other countries in order to gain their favor and that's insane.

To me when a pastor gets in the pulpit he should preach the gospel. PERIOD. Not judge the "white man" and talk of how our government has done this and done that and has done nothing but hold the black man down. Lemme let the good reverend in on something. IT AINT JUST THE WHITE MAN. Theres just as much racism from the African-American community towards the Whites. Wright is nothing more than a Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton wannabe.
The church and the pulpit is supposed to be used to talk of God's teachings and his Son's sacrifice for man. With Wright being a pastor he should know that passing judgement is one of the things Christians aren't suppose to do. So that leads me to the assumption....nope...I'd be going down to his level.
Oh by the way....he said he was open for V.P. nominations.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Hmmmmm...
What about the stuff about our government being responsible for the HIV virus; and, like his buddy Louis Farrakhan, does he believe that Jesus was just another prophet? Unusual for a Christian minister, wouldn't you say?

It matters with diplomacy but obviously US, under the Bush adminstration doesn't care much for diplomacy when you can just bomb anyone.
