TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — They're proudly displayed by any self-respecting bull, but dangling big metal ones on the back end of a truck could be banned in Florida. Metal replicas of bull testicles have become trendy bumper ornaments in some parts of the Sunshine State, but state Sen. Carey Baker is campaigning to ban the orbs.
Baker acknowledged that Florida lawmakers have more pressing issues, including huge revenue shortfalls, but said the state needs to draw a line on what's obscene before more objectionable adornments appear. State Sen. Steve Geller argued against Baker's bill. "I find it shocking that we should be telling people that have the metallic bull testicles ... you're now going to have points on your license for this," said Geller. Geller was in the minority. Baker's bill to fine drivers $60 for displaying the ornaments passed the Senate. It's now up to the House, but there's only a slim chance that members of that chamber would pass the measure before the session ends this coming Friday.
If it were to be passed, Gov. Charlie Crist has not indicated whether he would sign it, although he has not been too critical of this and other not-so-pressing issues. "It's good to have some things that maybe aren't quite as serious. Got to have a little levity," the governor said.
A similar bill in Virginia, aimed at rubber trailer hitch replicas of human genitalia, died in committee this year.

 Man, this is almost as stupid as Georgia lawmakers wasting the time and taxpayer money to ban UF plates. Seems only Virginia had enough sense to let similar bills die.

No, its even more stupid... because at least banning the UF plates had the interests of Georgia residents in mind.

How so? It was Georgia residents and TAXPAYERS who got the plates made in the first place. Banning UF plates had Georgia crybabies in mind. I've got them all beat anyway... I've got bulldog testicles hanging off my UF plate.

I agree with Paradox. This is a huge problem. One of the biggest!
I think we can expect civil unrest all over Florida . . .

. . . even the dogs are protesting in fear that they are next . . .

I think this is horrible. I personally like the fact that the ignorant legions of classless people are so proud to display their slef-inflicted plight to the rest of us. As a father of two teenage daughters, the use of "ornamental testicles" is a good "red flag" and I can teach my daughters accordingly. It makes my job much easier in teaching them about how to identify the losers of the world. Other "signs" of people they know to look for and avoid....
anyone proudly displaying a confederate flag (unless their at an Ole Miss game),
anyone displaying or even uttering the words "get R done",
anyone guy who actually wears a wife beater shirt in public,
any loser who actually has a barbed wire (or similar) tatoo around their arm,
any guy whose hair is longer than theirs,
any man whose car has a smattering of fish figures displayed on the back,
and anybody whose car has a "W" sticker proudly displayed on the back.
These are just a few and I'm sure you could add your own (hint, hint), but these lawmakers need to understand that the displaying of "ornamental testicles" serves a purpose to the well being of the general public and honestly probably also saves lives in the process. I say "Support the Right to Display Your Ignorance"!!
