It's the Holidays(take your pick) and a strange man knocks on your door. His car has broke down and he needs to use your phone. Do you let him in to use it, or do you inform him that you have no phone?

I would tell him that my phone needs repair and that everytime I try to use it there is a constant tone coming from the part that goes against your ear.

Do you ever watch King of Queens? Remember the Thanksgiving episode where the scary dude w/ the eye patch was stranded on in front of their house...if you make the call for him HE CAN LEAVE ;)

I have to know: Is it a man that is strange, or a man that's unfamiliar? That makes all the difference; because this was a strange man, and I wouldn't have even opened the door to hand him the cordless.

But, this man is only strange to me, so he might get some assistance.

I was basically aiming for a creepy guy that looks like he would slit your throat(Yeah Manson). I guess GB would be the only one that would let him in, and then promptly die tragically.
rollmftide, I was watching that episode and that made me ask the question. I would personally not let that guy in...I mean he had a eye patch!!

Does he have any bud light? If so, I'll let him in.

how true is that.....
As far as me, I would tell him to wait and go put on my wifes underwear and lipstick and then go back to the door. After that I doubt he'll need to use the phone.

I'd do what rollmf did....get the number and use the phone for him. I've been a strange lookin guy needing to use a phone in almost this exact same situation, just minus the holiday. Some old guy made a call for me and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. No harm, no foul. Plus by asking to get a number you can tell if he really does just need to use the phone or if he has a different motive in mind...at which point you can get your gun and/or call the police.
