He's annoying as hell too. Shoots those loud pop guns to get all the OSU fans attention to start some chants. Pretty damn funny too, no matter what the OSU fans are doing...they'll drop what they're doing and look at him.

Appearently, Tennessee doesn't really have any of their own traditions. Arkansas' Running through the A came before Tennessee's running through the T, UGA's domesticated mascot came before Tennessee's Domesticated mascot.... Sucks to be UT.

According to this site, they started in 1965. thet (http://www.thevib.com/thet.html)

The earliest account of someone talking about the Tradition for Arkansas was about the same time....

Outland Trophy winner Lloyd Phillips played for Arkansas more than three decades ago, but his memories of running through the “A” remain as fresh as the morning dew.

“The butterflies are flowing and you are [running], but it doesn’t feel like your feet are even touching the ground,” said Phillips, who played on the Hogs’ 1964 national championship team and won the 1966 Outland Trophy.

I can't find an actualy date for when a coach or a band director or whoever decided to start doing this....

I think the fact that Arkansas has more collegiate National Titles than any other school in the conference and got the majority of them while IN the SEC speaks for itself.
