I am surprised that Chicago is not on the list. We have had some good teams here and there, but for being a major market in sports we really suck. The White Sox and Cubs have 1 collective world series in the last 100 years, The Bears had 1985 and that is it, the Bulls had the MJ years, but now are horrible, and the Black Hawks cannot even make the playoffs. We have had our moments, but they are few and far between.

That list looks like BS to me....like someone just threw 10 darts at a US map and said "heres the list". How in the hell is Detroit not at the top of the list?? He didnt even put it on there at all. The Lions. The Tigers. They're halfway decent in the sport that most would consider a distant 3rd in the Big 3 and they're not even all that great in that one...while being the laughing stock of the other two sports. I dont get it.

Damn not Tampa Bay?
Yea but Tampa Bay won the superbowl in 2002, and thats the crown jewel of all sports in my opinon, and how is Denver on the list? They have Two back to back super bowls, The Avalanche have won numerous titles in the NHL, and the Rockies were in the World Series last year! go figure

Yeah...wtf....where is Cincinnati? We haven't had crap to be enthusiastic about other than making 1 playoff appearance in the NFL over the last 20 years and the Reds last winning the World Series...well...when the Bengals last went to the playoffs before 2005.....1990. Bengals and Reds....c'mon.
Cleveland and Detroit also....man this list is horrible. Wtf makes Atlanta #1? They just got a hockey team, so that's a plus. The Braves had the entire freaking 90's. The Falcons are great half the time and horrible the other half....really the Hawks are the only team that are consistently crappy enough to merit such a ranking...and they simply don't.
I would definitely say it's tougher being a Cincy fan than an ATL fan.

And what about the Baltimore and DC teams? They've been horrible forever..the Bullets/Wizards, Orioles, Capitols...etc.

I agree about Atlanta. How can they be miserable? They've been in the MLB playoffs every year since I can last remember, before the very recent troubles. The football team was in the Super Bowl fairly recently; and they should be pretty good again, as long as they quit drafting thugs. The hockey team has been a welcome surprise, and pretty competitive for the 2 years prior to this one. The NBA has been the sore spot, but even the Hawks have a bright future with their current roster. Even GT has had some pretty impressive success, although not nearly as much as the old days.
You'd think there were 10 cities with no championships to talk about; or none from this era at least. Atlanta has a World Series in '95 and a National Championship (GT) in '90.

Agreed. Detroit, Cleveland, and Buffalo's woes far outweigh Atlanta's, or even my Cincinnati's squads. The Reds have had a stretch of 7 crappy years that we're in...but before that we were pretty damn good every year. It just gets harder each year lol....things are looking up.

Yeah, isn't Buffalo the bridesmaid city? I mean, even Wiki has an entry for sports in Buffalo: Buffalo Sports Curse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Sports_Curse) Plus, they had the world's most famous murderer... of humans, anyway... Atlanta still holds the animal abuse crown, thanks to Vick.:brick:

Has New Orleans ever won a major title. Hell, the Saints have never even been to the Super Bowl and aside from this year, the Hornets have been pretty awful since they've been here.

What the heck? No Miami? Miami should be #1 and Atlanta #2. No one cares about any sport in Miami. The Orange Bowl was 50% full for big games for the Hurricanes, the Marlins draw about 300 per night, and no one goes to see the pathetic Dolphins. Not to mention the Heat suck now, and no one is going to their games.
In Atlanta, the Braves winning the division and losing in the first round became so common place that people just accept it as an inevitability. The crowds at Turner Field have really dwindled since the mid 1990's. No one cares about any other pro sport there because it's a UGA town.
