I honestly think that we will finish no worse than 7-5.... (if we can win 2 out of 3 against SC AU & UA) we'll be 8-4, 9-3 is not being too over optimistic.. We have a bunch of hungry talented guys that were never properly coached by an expierenced and polished staff.. This is our year to make a run in the West.. Our staff has been there they definitely can motivate and elevate the play of our guys.
I'll predict 8-4
& call me crazy but I think that Devin Thomas will be the star at RB at the end of the year and years to come

I say 8-4 at worst. This team is just to damn good and our coach is just to damn smart. The Offense will be good, but the Defense is going to carry this year.

There are some sports reporters picking us to win the NC. Now I'm not one to go overboard but I have learned to try and trust the experts on things like this.

I think 7-5 is the best bet, but 5-7 and 8-4 are also possible. Nutt will have these team ready every Saturday to play and will get the most of it, especially in the 4th quarter; plus we will not see bone-head calls. These things will make a difference in 2-3 games.
the talent on the first-team at 9 out of 11 positions on both sides of the ball is more than capable of playing with anyone in the conference; it is the other 2 positions (and I am not saying I know who that is, just conjecture) and the depth behind everyone else that is the big concern and MAY keep us from winning a few more games.
And after the last few seasons, Shreveport or Memphis during the holiday season aint that bad.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of 9-3, look at what Nutt did in his first year at Arkansas in a somewhat similar scenario.
The talent is there fellas.. & IMO in the most critical positions that will produce the W's & L's, the trenches.
We just would like a little bit of depth at a few positions

I'm still sticking with my 7-5 prediction following the guidelines I posted in the 2008 Ole Miss Predictions thread. But, who knows, these guys could bomb or exceed the hype and do worse or better than that. Assumptions don't count for shiznit, what matters is how this team plays on Saturdays this fall. Hotty Toddy

I think the difference in Ole Miss going 6-6 or 8-4 will be the South Carolina and Wake Forest games. They should win the rest of their games on the Rebel's schedule and with those two wins... who knows....maybe the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta (probably one of the best run bowls in the non-BCS games.) Good luck Rebels....except on November 22nd of course!!!
