G-Day thoughts

I saw a lot that has me excited about this Fall's squad and a little of the work some of the younger guys need to put in.

First, Caleb King is exactly as advertised and true freshmen Samuel & Jackson are too. And all of them need to practice their pass blocking fundamentals between now and August.

Second, my South Florida kid Michael Moore showed that he can play. Overall, I thought the WR corps did well considering their short handedness.

Third, how about those two kids kicking the long FG's? That made me feel a lot better about a backup plan in case the incoming freshman has problems this August.

Lastly, our D is absolutely badass. The two deep is as monster as I can ever remember and these young'uns like Knox, how can you not be excited?

This is a special bunch guys, they could be very dominating.

i thought hebron was faster than that

john knox looks like he could fall right in line with what a uga safety is all about

caleb king looks really good too...him and moreno are gonna be the next brown/williams or jones/mcfadden

l. grey has some speed, but i dont think its the 4.45 rivals had him listed at. plenty for a qb tho.

kenneth harris..i kno u all love him but that deep ball grey threw up to him, he should have made a play on it. he is a senior WR going against a walk-on corner. if he is gonna step up this year, its got to start now.

walter hill..wasnt as athletic as i thought he would be
kris durham..looked very uncomfortable on the outside. he needs to be in the slot.
joe cox..had a couple nice plays but i expected more

i missed most of the 1st drive so i didnt see the kris durham catch

Give us some juicy details about some of the young guys. How did Kiante Tripp look? That's my main worry on the o-line. I think our WR's will be good this year. Just have to stay away from injuries.

Also, I'm very excited about Caleb King, and Logan Grey too! Grey has some wheels on him, and what a TD throw today!

Stafford looked solid, Knowshon was knowshon, and our defense was awesome.

Very excited about this team.

I just got home from the game after an 8 hour drive after having sat in the rain for the majority of the game. Had a great time though.

Stafford did well and had good conditioning. He is obviously taking things seriously and is ready to play.

Knowshon is a beast.
King was bigger than I though and damn fast in person.


The new kickers were impressive. The 52 yard FG was nicely done.

Our D is going to be ferocious, period!!


Overall good game, SHITTY weather. It rained the whole week while I was up in Georgia. Glad to be back in the sunshine.:thumpsup:

Yeah I tried to make some contacts before I left last week but it didn't work out. I stayed in Athens last night after driving down from Blairsville Fri. morning. Ate at some organic place the wife picked out. It was pretty good.

I'm trying my hardest to make it back up for the UT game. We can all hook up and tailgate then. If anyone runs across any extra tickets let me know.
