Top bar is probably The Library. There isn't a bad restaurant in town. Best steak is probably at Prime or 208 which recently reopened. Best variety is probably Waltz on the Square.

To echo Cianne, 208 is fantastic and you'll need to make reservations on a football weekend (somewhat pricey, but not terrible). The Library is definitely the biggest bar with the most talent, but it's usually young undergrads. If you want an older crowd, like older students, grad students, and mid to late 20's, I like City Grocery. The best dive in town is probably Parrish Baker Pub (Parrish's). Some other suggestions for food would be Ajax Diner for some good food at decent prices, Phillip's Grocery for a great cheeseburger, and Boure is a great all round restaurant.

Ajax is my favorite place to eat in town.

Since we're talking about food, me, my wife, and a friend of ours drove down to Taylor Grocery for some catfish tonight. Man, it was some good stuff, pretty overpriced steaks (21.95/12 oz.) but we both got full off of the half order fillets and got out of there for under 20 bucks. The place has a great feel to it, like stepping back in time, and got to hear some good blues from a local. Good experience and worth the 10 mile drive!

I don't think I've ever gone to Taylor and gotten steak. I generally reserve steaks for 208 or Yocona River Inn and probably Prime if I ever get a chance to go. You can't beat the atmosphere of Taylor though unless you're having to wait in frigid temperatures for a table.

We've never beaten Ole Miss before. Hopefully that changes this year.
