heard a rumor that he had left the team and confirmed it as he is no longer listed on the roster. no idea why at this time, but from what I hear it was a voluntary move. hurts depth at LB; Phillips wasn't going to be a star, but was fairly solid as a backup.

Well so much for our conversation about him the other night. That sucks, I wonder if that will hurt us getting Montez Phillips...

He's probably bummed that he went from a starter last year to not seeing the field this year. Don't blame him.

i hate to say it, but suck it up and play. He wasn't expected to compete for a starting job last season, but look what happened; started 9/12. Its not like Nutt isn't friendly to walk-ons that bust their a$$. Brandon Burlsworth (sp) was a walk-on at AR and ended up becoming an All-American and a first rounder (rest his soul, which considering the type of individual he was is at rest). so yes, I can find a reason to blame him.
