Atlanta went to Chicago tonight in an oft-played duel between the teams of the two former UF big men. Noah and the Bulls won, 103-94. Noah had the much better game, with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals (that never ceases to amaze me how the UF big guys steal the ball so much), and an assist, in only 29 minutes. Horford finished a slow shooting night with only 3 points, but 13 rebounds, 2 blocks, and an assist, in 32 minutes.

In other Gator rookie news, Corey Brewer had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and one steal, in 25 minutes off the bench for Minnesota, in the win against the Knicks in their last game. Chris Richard had 3 points and 6 rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench, also for Minnesota, in the same game.

It is great to see Noah making a name for himself in the NBA! In a league filled with spectacular players, that is not an easy feat.

Noah has looked pretty impressive defensively from what I've seen of him this year. I haven't really gotten a chance to watch Horford much yet.

Three teams are playing for the right to get smoked by the Celtics.

That's about the extent of it. Celtics management wanted to return the team to prominence in one fell swoop... and that's precisely what they did with the recent acquisitions. Deserving group of guys to finally have some real success, wins, and chances at greatness in the form of a championship, imo. They've paid their dues; now it's time to collect the rewards... especially Garnett. Of course, between he, Allen, and Pierce, that's going to be one expensive trophy should they win it. Their (just those 3 guys) combined salaries this year total $56,000,000.

I hope they win. I like all three of those players. It gives me hope for the Bulls. We need to make a similar move to get a star or two here. We have a lot of good young players, but none of them are go to star players at least at the moment. I am not sure if we should make a trade or bit the bullet for a couple of years and let these players develop?
