Here is an interesting site I saw on another board. The learned fellows at coacheshotseat.com developed what is called the Hippopotamus Standards, where the head coaches of division 1-A are matched up against their Hippo, to see who would've done a better job in 2007.

According to their findings, only 1 SEC team failed to equal the Hippo's performance at coaching their team to wins: Alabama's Saban coached the Tide to 6 regular season wins, one less than the Hippo's standard. Even Mississippi's Ed Orgeron was able to look the Hippo in the eye, win for win...

I agree. My little girl's cheerleader coach, a sophomore at Coastal Carolina, probably could have got 8 wins for Alabama last year. Plus, she's a lot better looking!!!

I thought that Tennessee WAS coached by a Hippo, I don't understand why Fulmerpottamus is 3 games better than his cousins....

A hippo? All they do is wade in the water and do nothing...is that the purpose of the joke?

I can't even bring myself to argue about this...its ridiculous. :lol:
