How can Tebow be the Heisman winner and basically the offense for UF and come in ranked #4 for his position. I think Stafford would rank behind him as far as quarterback ranking seeing as how we were more of a running team. Then again I'm not a big statistics guy.

I'm not sure where any of the rankings are coming from. Tebow was the #1 QB recruit in the nation coming out of high school; and, in my mind, hasn't done anything to lose it... in fact, has only reinforced that the scouts were right on that one. The guys ranked ahead of him haven't done anything yet, except Stafford, who was the #4 QB in the SEC last year. Mustain doesn't even play for Arkansas, and Shaeffer isn't even the QB of record last year for Ole Miss... Seth Adams is. He's also a junior college transfer, not a high school recruit.
I'm a little confused about the RB's, too. Obviously, Moreno is the top guy from the class of '06, and was the #3 RB taken in the SEC in '06.

i didn't rank these guys in 05...sporting news did. besides it's not the rankings that's important. just put a grade next to the player for Christ's sake and try not to be offended. it's not a current ranking.

#1 QB Matt Stafford C+, he was solid last year but to be ranked no. 1 coming out of HS, he needs to be doing more to get a higher grade from me
#5 RB Knowshon Moreno A
#1 TE NeDerris Ward F...injured, rarely played, transfering this summer
#3 OL Kiante Tripp no PT
#2 LB Darius Dewberry specials teams player and depth C
#3 LB Akeem Hebron was kicked out of school his freshman year and now will challenge for the olb spot but no PT yet
#1 DB Reshad Jones B
#2 DB Asher Allen B solid starter but not a game breaker yet
#4 Quintin Banks depth and special teams guy so far

#2 RB Mike Ford - F - Never qualified for Bama, but kicking butt in South Florida.
#1 OL Andre Smith - A - Started the moment he arrived on campus. He is the most physically dominant OL in the SEC, but he needs to work on conditioning.
#3 Ath Earl Alexander - B - Tall, Big bodied receiver with good hands but average speed. Good backup last year, has a very good chance at a starting spot this year. Mostly a possession guy that could also be great in the endzone due to his size(6'5").

#3 QB Bret Schaefer
#3 DL Jerrell Powe
#3 Ath Allen Walker
Schaefer-gotta give him an F, even though he was never used in the way he should have been used, i.e. square peg, round hole situation. saw what he may have been capable of against LSU in 08 in a more spread look.
Powe-Incomplete. yet to see the field on a gameday, but all reports indicate that he is in great shape for being eligible this fall.
Walker-C. has been a solid special teamer the past two seasons, and is currently working out as starting WLB in Tyrone Nix's system, so hopefully will see his grade rise, however he may give way to Patrick Trahan in the fall.

Sorry, Ramp... like bd, I didn't quite understand what you were looking for. This is how I'd grade them so far:
Florida
#4 QB Tim Tebow - A+
#1 WR Percy Harvin - A+
#4 TE Trent Pupello - Transferred to USF.
#2 OL Carl Johnson - B - Has played well in 11 of 13 games last year
#1 LB Brandon Spikes - A+ - First-team All-SEC by coaches and AP. 2nd in SEC in total tackles.
#3 DB Jacques Rickerson - C - Made a lot of costly mistakes last year.
#1 Ath Jarred Fayson - C - Crybaby couldn't except that he wasn't as good as Harvin. Transferred.
#4 Ath Riley Cooper - B - Made some long bomb catches last year, and had the highest yards per catch average on the team. But, he also made two route running mistakes that resulted in picks. Thought to be the fastest guy on a team of flashes... if he gets his routes down, he'll be dangerous.

that may be the best class yet with three all-sec players to say the least. i might do an all-2005 class.

#5 QB Neil Caudle: C, He is competing now for the starting job, but looks like he'll end up our #3 on the depth chart.
#3 RB Ben Tate: B+, He is one of our starting RB's and has seen action since his Freshman year. Although he has not (yet) had the dominate performance that he had in HS, he should continue to develop.
#2 WR Tim Hawthorne: B, He will be a starter this year and should be prolific in the new spread attack.
#5 WR Chris Slaugher: B, He will be a starter this year and should be prolific in the new spread attack.
#3 TE Michael Goggans: B, He switched to DL and is performing well on the 2 deep rotation. All indications are that he is tearing it up in spring practice.
#4 DL Greg Smith: F, Smith arrived on campus out of shape and never worked hard enough to get in shape and compete. He recently left AU to join a Div II school.

#1 QB Matt Stafford: B Sometimes he plays lights out, sometimes he's nothing special. I think he'll be more consistent this year. I love they guy, but he hasn't quite lived up to his freshman year hype.
#5 RB Knowshon Moreno: A+ Watching him in the G-day game last year I knew he'd be special, but he far surpassed any of my expectations.
#1 TE NeDerris Ward: D, He would get an F, but one time me and my buddies were grilling out in the quad and he brought out some steaks for us to cook up. That was cool.
#3 OL Kiante Tripp: C average, but not much time on the field
#2 LB Darius Dewberry: C, but could step up this year, especially with Marcus Washington out for the season
#3 LB Akeem Hebron: No idea... F because he couldn't figure out how to properly underage drink. It's not that hard to not get caught! This is ATHENS!
#1 DB Reshad Jones: B+ I love his intensity. A little hot headed at times, but he's a beast.
#2 DB Asher Allen: B sometimes the deuce gets loose on returns, but nothing mind blowing as as a db
#4 Quintin Banks: Dont know much about the man
