I heard from some friends that Darren McFadden is going to be on the cover of NCAA Football 2008 (which can't get here soon enough). Do you think he will suffer from a cover jinx? Is he the right pick for the cover?

I think he will do good in the NFL but I'm extremely surprised that Matt Ryan wasn't picked for the NCAA cover. It seems like every time you turn on Sport Center or NFL Prime Time they are talking about either Matt Ryan or Chris Long.

Well given that the cover jinx is only Madden related in my mind, I seriously doubt it will be a problem. I am happy however they aren't going with a total bust, like Zebransky or Harrington...whats up with that?

Now the 01' was the best...that's for sure. :D

I think it will be just for the 360. I think they are using different athletes for all systems from now on.

Since there are about 5 people in the country who own a PS3. I don't think being on that cover gets anyone gravitas. The 360 is the most popular system right now. I'm guessing that is why McFadden will dawn that cover.

Yeah, I'd believe that if you weren't from Ohio and it was a Seatle Seahawks picture.

i was up Seattle way just a year ago. the milk carton thing was a lame attempt at humor, but Alexander does seem a bit of a forgotten man in the NFL...

Yeah I hate it for the guy, nicest player I've ever met. Injuries are doing him in and he can't take NFL type hits much longer. Maybe the Falcons will pick him up and get Matt Ryan some how. :D

I don't understand why the Falcons spent that much money getting Michael Turner. Are they basically booting Jerious out the door?

no way. they are keeping him as a change of pace/insurance policy.
