Glad to see that we are in the top 5 of both. Really strange to see UF so low in the opponents average while their conversion rate is so high. Guess that is why you can average 40+ points a game and still lose 4. This tells me 3 things

-their offense was explosive (or maybe just Tebow and Harvin)
-their defense had more gaps than a 2 dollar hooker
-if they get it together they could be nasty

Can't wait till Jacksonville this year.

Yeah, I can't remember how many times we got burned on 3rd and long last year. I would be willing to bet that our 4th down percentage was even worse. And you're right, with half a defense we would be a pretty solid team. Not too many defenses could successfully slow down our offense for a whole game.

really, aside from a couple fumbles and some well timed sacks, florida moved the ball at will on us too.

The only team that really "stopped" the Gators last season was Auburn...and I thank the Lord their DC is gone.

If the Gators have any improvement at all on defense this upcoming season...we should be pretty tough to beat.

LSU, Arkansas, and Georgia were the only teams in the top 5 on both sides of the ball. I'm guessing Georgia stays in the top 5 in both LSU stays in the top 5 on defense and Arkansas stays in the top 5 on offense.

All three schools have done VERY well on 3rd down over the last decade. A team's success isn't always measured on how they do on 3rd down. But it is usually a pretty good indicator of how their season went.

Auburn fans already know where they rank on this list, or they should. I've cited the statistic enough....
