2 more trips and we can catch Ole Miss in # of appearences. With JPW as our QB this year, we might be able to slice the lead to 1. :brick:

Like it really matters what I think, but with all the improvements on the Bama coaching and recruiting front, I can see Saban & Bama nation heading to the Peach Bowl (old name I know) in Atlanta or to the Capitol One Bowl in Orlando with Mickey.

If LSU goes to the Independence Bowl, you'll most likely be 0-12 after the Iron Bowl.

Dip BP! I thought I was being a nice guy by suggesting that the Tide would show so much improvement that they would be playing in the old Peach Bowl or the Capitol One Bowl. Man, that's realistic for Bama next year. They might do better, but Bama is an "improving team".

I can't even respond to your statement above, it speaks for itself.

 I would love that more than anything but there is no way I would put a hefty wager on that considering the that we only have 3 Scholarship DEs and our top two returning LBs are not likely to be playing. Anything can happen and I wouldn't really be surprised at 6 wins or 10 wins but I think we are at least another season away.

With Nick at the helm, anything can happen. I think if Bama can get past (at) Georgia or (at) Tennessee and come into the game with LSU either tied for first or one game back, the Tide has a chance of having a special season. But if they lose both of those game, it's going to be hard playing catch up in an already tough division--that's getting tougher every year. I think Bama really has one of the top 10 toughest schedules in the nation next year. Think about it: at Clemson (Georgia Dome), at Georgia, at Tennessee, at LSU. Tho only really tough game they play at home is Auburn, and that's always a barn burner no matter where it's played. I think Alabama finishes somewhere around 8-4, but with a few breaks in a couple of games, who knows, maybe 10-2 with a shot for the west. Bama is definitely on the rise, but you can't forget that so are the other five teams in the west. The SEC west is not for the faint of heart anymore. We can't even automatically put a "W" by Mississippi State anymore, so it's going to be an exciting season next year. Probably a whole lot of games will come surprisingly down to the wire. It wouldn't surprise me if Ole Miss came up and won it all next year in the west....well, I guess I would be a little surprised on that one, but the point is, an improving Bama will hold its own next year with the opportunity to have a special season if the pieces all come together. My early prediction for the west is this order: LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi State and then Ole Miss. I can assure you, none of the east teams are looking forward to playing any of the teams in the west anymore....and I guess I don't blame'em!!!!!!!

"Possible", but I don't know about "good chance". I "think" LSU could be 7-2 or possibly 8-1 going into the Bama game. LSU's schedule is a tough one as well, but LSU is just as loaded, if not more so, than every team on their schedule other than possibly Georgia. I haven't signed on to Georgia being "the team" in the SEC next year, but on paper they certainly look like the have the best chance. If LSU can get past (at) Auburn and (at) Florida, this could be another very special year no matter what happens in the Georgia game. The exciting part about LSU/Bama game this year, is that it's in Baton Rouge. I'm not one that really cares about the Saban issue, heck, I'm glad Nick is in the SEC; and I'm totally satisfied with having another MNC coach in Miles, but you've got to admit, it's going to be fun seeing how this game unfold in Baton Rouge. Saban will probably be cheered for about a minute in respect for his accomplishments, and then booed for just being Saban at Bama. The whole "Saban thing" just adds another exciting spice to this game every year and that's good for the game. You've got to love it!

I would be shocked if LSU didn't lose at least two of those games. I see a minimum of 3 losses there. LSU had a very favorablr Home schedule last year and was lucky to lose only two with superior talent. With a tougher road schedule and losing the Senior talent they did, it could be rough for LSU. But, that's why they play the game.

Can we PLEASE drop the bowl already. Surely the SEC can find a better city for a bowl.

And it would need to be a "purple and gold" chem/hazard suit at that!!!!!

I really don't think it's going to be that bad for Tide fans. I believe Bama fans will be treated very well for this game. Saban will get a ear full at first, or when he argues about anything, but overall I think it will be an enjoyable time for all Tide fans....except for their ride home of course.
