Pretty simple really. Just vote for the biggest. homer.

Well, I just found it funny that the first two people that came to mind before I even saw the list, were the first two you had listed.
You asked two different questions, though, Sabo....You asked who is the biggest homer AND who is our favorite homer. Those are two completely different things to me.
As far as favorite homer...it's EASILY GeauxTo. Despite the endless copy and paste threads from every half-witted journalist that reside in the state of Louisiana, he does at least have enough snap to at least acknowledge, on occasion, that football is played in other parts of the country. Plus, he adds alot to this board aside from his blind support for the Bayou Bungals.
BP, on the other hand, isn't REALLY all that much of a homer if you really stop and think about it. He's rather more of a hater of all things that aren't about Bama and especially all things Orange. He's equally (if not more so) pleased about his rivals' failures as he is about Bama's accomplishments thus making the term "homer" not really applicable.
When I think of the word "homer", I think of someone who has blind faith for all things to do with their school....someone who is not at all bothered by nor even acknowledges reality or humility....someone who will over-hype even the most meager of accomplishments at the same time they down-play and completely rationalize to the point of obscurity their glaring weaknesses.... and finally, someone who can not begin to fathom how anybody who doesn't see things as they do can be so blind. So, when I think of "Homer", DDD wins in a landslide. So, PLEASE be kind enough to add him to your list!!

Why am I even in the running? I'm homer, we all are. But my views on my own teams success are currently pretty balanced. Now if you are talking about being a homer of yourself.... hand me the hardware, right now baby!

Yeah, I almost put myself up there, but I was afraid I'd win.
I just couldn't think of any more names and sometimes you are overcome with extreme homerism.
D3 would probably win this hands-down if I didn't forget to list him. Where has he been any way?

After seeing them lose two games as the no.1 team in the nation including the last one late in the season, still get into the NC, and win, I don't see that as being outside the realm of possibility.

Okay, okay, okay...
I admit to being unabashedly homerish towards everything Louisiana, particularly LSU. But, despite my favoritism to my own, I respect all SEC teams, campuses, institutions, and fans.

I think it's pretty hard not to be a homer if you are into sports enough to regularly post on this board. I am afraid we are all guilty of it! We TRY to be impartial. I guess it is just that Southern hospitality thing...we try, but we are still homers underneath it all!

The kid can flat out shoot the basketball. We've got the shooting PG in Clarke and the Athletic PG in Fortson. We are looking good in the PG dept. Now we just need to close it out with some nice rebounders.

If any of you nominees take this thread seriously then I feel bad for you. Fact is I am cool with every one I named. Notice Bamafag or Grady made no appearance.
And Prodigy, Geaux is a self-professed homer therefore he had to make the list.
You have to defend your hogs against constant criticism so you are always on offense. Not that there is anything wrong with that. This is all in fun. :peace:

Well, you got the Sanchez kid....he has some promise. UK has the shooters all locked in....we have Darius Miller, DeAndre Liggins, and Kevin Galloway. That's a great recruiting class in and of itself. If we get Scotty Hopson here, it's Top 5 easily. We just need to get another big man in here for the future. Patterson....I really don't feel the threat in the back of my mind that he'll leave like you usually do w/guys of his caliber. He wants his degree too....I dunno why...he'll be freaking rich as good as he's gonna be in the NBA.

I've never really understood BB recruiting rankings. I figure, with two of the top 25 PG's in the nation, one of the best pure shooters in the nation, and a solid class otherwise, Arkansas should be top 10 at least, but I don't know. Fortson is a manchild, at 6'1"! In the Arkansas forum I posted a youtube video of him Oden-Dunking. I'm happy with our recruits, I guess that is all that really matters.

I voted GeauxTo only because I've known him as the board's resident homer since I've been here. Bamaperry is just downright stupid and the Prodigy isn't all that homerish, in my opinion. PuddingTime is a pretty big homer when it comes to basketball, but the majority of the board doesn't give a hoot about basketball so I think GeauxTo is the winner.

It's all subjective...depends on how they fit into the team, whether they whine about playing time....hell, you know what goes into it.
Remember our recruiting class of Rondo/Morris/Crawford/Bradley was #1 in the nation. But because Morris wanted to enter the draft early, then come back, and Rondo was always eyeing the NBA...and then there was the Sparks/Rondo issues going on behind the scenes...they never really realized their potential other than their freshman year when we went to the Elite Eight and lost in 2OT to Michigan State (DAMN YOU IZZO!!!!)
