That's good. We get to see Spurs twice, early. I love to watch the Ole Ball Coach on the sidelines. Good luck to the Gamecocks.
Thanks GeauxTo, although I'm about sick of these damn Thursday games....

He does have some of the better sideline facial expressions. When they win he's fun to watch and when they lose he's REALLY fun to watch. I remember when Akransas played South Carolina in 2006, after D Mac's Second TD run, he slammed his clipboard on the ground and took his headset off. Hilarious.
Also he was fun to watch at Washington. I'm a skins fan, so I feel your pain SC fans, I feel your pain. the lips... his lips are made of gel or a really light rubber or something.... I don't see how he can do the things he does with his mouth sometimes.... that didn't come out right.

I love the clipboard throw, it's his trademark like Bobby Knight's chair throw.

Thank God. I'm so glad we don't have any thursday night games. That would suck.

I like how we get a full week to prepare for Vandy and more than a week to prepare for Georgia. I also like getting these Thursday night games out of the way early. I also like the 4 day trip to Nashville I'll be taking.

I don't think Vandy will find South Carolina sleeping this year. I look for the Gamecocks to entertain the Georgia Bulldawgs at Williams-Brice Stadium with a record of 2-0; and then give the Georgia boys all they can handle. Who knows, the Gamecock might just pull out another early season upset over the Dawgs......again!

It's good National Exposure for South Carolina. It is going to suck going to work or class on Fridays though, win or lose.

Actually I think he perfected the visor throw as his trademark while he was at UF.

What is Spurrier's career record against UGA? I really don't know, I'm hoping you do. I'm too lazy to look it up. Not trying to start sh*t.

As a player it was crap. As a coach he held a nice lead when he was coaching UF. That talent level is not at USC though. If there is one coach that comes to play when he plays us its Spurrier. That bitch flat out hates us.

He's got at least one win at USC against UGA.... I know that much. And I was just guessing that he did well against UGA at UF. UF has a really big lead on the Dogs in that dept over the past 20 or so years.

Yes Spurrier helped to bring the win loss record closer during his reign at UF to make up for all of the years Dooley ran the rivalry. I'm hoping Richt will swing the momentum back UGA's way for awhile.

Champions don't play on Thursday.
Maybe ALA should schedule Thursday games. :joke:
Personally as a overall fan of college football I love the Thursday night game. True it's not always a blockbuster but who's doesn't want MORE football?

Yeah, after the Kentucky-South Carolina thursday night game last year (one of the funnest games I've ever been to), I definately cut some classes on Friday. We stayed up all night celebrating (Kentucky was #8 at the time). That was right before our season collapsed :(

Thanks. Our first three games should be on national television (obviously the first two already are). UGA-USC should be picked up by CBS, ESPN or somebody. If we win our first two (start 2-0) gameday might even be there. Can't wait!!!!!

Nope. LSU played at Mississippi State. We opened the season on Thursday night the previous two years.

I love watching me a Thursday night football game. It makes it that much better that the first two will be a SEC team and the Ole Ball Coach.

Yeah, I guess that was an enjoyable game for Bama fans, but prefer this one in 2004:

My favorite games are Saturday night... love'em. And when we win it is a party everywhere all night! And then it's recovery for Sunday.... hopefully I get my voice back by Wed or Thursday.
For most of football season I speak in vowels and various breathing noises.

Definatley, saturday night games are the best, although we didn't win very many of em last year :( You can party all day before the game, enjoy the game and (hopefully) party all night!!!

The best party last season was after the USC game. Rock out with your cock out would be putting things mildly....

I'm psyched about the AU-WV game. Should be fun to watch! I think the Thursday night games are great, because it tides you over until Saturday. And sometimes the games are pretty darn good, especially some of the Big East games.
