Don't know if there any other tennis fans here, but did anyone see that last night? Very entertaining match. Sure Pete's nowhere near the form he was back in his prime, but there is no doubt he can still play. Federer, of course, was a machine and absolutely unflappable down the stretch.

I am surprised that there is not a tennis forum. This means we waste our precious thought on this subject and our post count is not credited. :brick: I think the fact that Sampras kept it so close shows two things. First that Sampras is awesome, but also shows that Federer does not have much competition these days. Sampras was pretty dominant when he played, but not as dominant as Federer because Sampras had more competition with Agassi and others.

I disagree, there are more good players now than ever before as evidenced by the recent Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas. There is so much depth in mens tennis, a qualifier and Sam Querry played in the finals.

I love me some Tennis, I didn't know nothing about the match until the highlights on ESPN though. Sampras definitely isn't near his form in his prime, but wouldn't that be the match of all matches. Sampras in his prime vs. Federer...well now. I would pay money to go see that match. :D
