I'm sure we'll hear Vitter comparisons. But Spitzer was a state attorney general, and it's pretty bad for the guy whose job includes enforcing the laws on prostitution to be involved with enjoying it... presuming that's what's going on here...

We can add this to the long list of people, Democratic and Republican, who have influence and power, who stumble and fall, and who, in the process, wound and embarrass their families and make people even more cynical about politics and politicians. It is a depressing spectacle. :sad:

They should burn jerks like this that have put people in jail for doing no more than what they are doing behind closed doors. In my opinion, it's a far worse crime. I don't care what the law prescribes, prosecutors caught perpetrating crimes that they pressed against another citizen are the lowest of scum.

We ought to just legalize prostitution as well as marijuana, and tax the hell out of it. Seriously, so many ppl pretend to be moral and pious and the bottom line is, we are all human, and humans will act like humans....

What really stands out to me from the article are "...Mr. Spitzer also had prosecuted at least two prostitution rings as head of the state’s organized crime task force." - article author & "I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family" - Governor.

No kidding?
