Okay, it's "forever" till football season, but being bored can make you come up with all kinds of crazy reasons to talk football. So, here's my excuse to talk a little football early.

Who has the best chance (in your opinion of course) to play in a BCS game next year? Remember, it's not a biggie, we're more than a half a year a way from the start of play. It's just for the fun of it!

Top three teams with the best chance (not in any order):
Florida
Georgia
LSU

Each Team's Chances:
Alabama 50%
Arkansas 40%
Auburn 80%
Florida 90%
Georgia 90%
Kentucky 50%
LSU 90%
Mississippi State 50%
Ole Miss 20%
South Carolina 50%
Tennessee 80%
Vanderbilt 10%

I'm not sure what the percentages are supposed to mean... Vandy has FAR less than a 10% chance to make a BCS bowl.... I mean, you're talking like a 0.0000000000099% chance. Its less than that really, it would probably take scientific notation to denote the actual odds of Vandy making a BCS bowl next year.

UGA and UF are the only two I think have a legit chance.

I think Georgia, even if they lose 2 or 3 games, the toughness of their schedule will give them a boost. I also see LSU in a BCS game next year.

Ga and Fla even with there tough schedules have the best shot IMO. LSU has a decent shot but it all depends on what happens with Perillouex (sp?). Everyone says the barn will be pretty good and right now you can't help but think they will be because they didn't lose anyone hardly. I think losing both coordinators mainly offensive coordinator will have a bigger effect than people think, especially in those first few games. They will get alot better throughout the season though.
I think Bama could be a darkhorse, a very very very darkhorse but we've got a shot. If JPW can play consistent then we could be really good, need some help on defense too!

Alphabetically: Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee are legitimate possibilities. Auburn, Florida, LSU have more favorable schedules imo, but I wouldn't take any of those teams out of the picture until they play themselves out of it.

Actually, I think Bama will be so good next year that they will play in two BCS games next year.

Yeah, Im pretty sure they'll be so good that the NCAA will change the rules to allow both their 1st AND 2nd teams to play in BCS bowls...which they will both win by 38 points each.

I dont know whats better..watching BP make these stupid predictions every year or watching him make excuses for why they dont come to fruition

That's because your football prowess is Bammerish, usually making one as goofy as a gander.

I appreciate the fact that you gave UT an 80% chance, but we have not been in a BCS bowl in a long time, so I doubt our chances are that good. May be 40% would be more accurate.

I think the SEC will be even more competitive this year than it was last season with the exception of UK dropping off a bit with Bama, USC, and Ole Miss improving. MSU should be even better this year. I think this will make it even tougher on the teams who are expected to fair well. I don't see any team going through the SEC unscathed.

The way the SEC has been going I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC champ went to the NC game, and the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams in the SEC went to the other BCS bowls.

I do not see how Bama makes a turnaround to a BCS GAME. Are you kidding me. They will be improved but unless JPW goes to Mannings QB camp i dont see them being in a BCS bowl. I think they will be greatly improved especailly in depth but these are freshman jumping into the SEC its going to be tough. It seems like BP is just jinxing any hopes Bama has at a decent season next fall. I will say this 82% with our schedule must mean you think we are the best team in the country because although confident in our depth and talent and coaching that schedule is a nightmare.

It would depend on who we lost to and when we lost and then maybe two games but three would nut cut it.

The upper level has to be Georgia, Florida, LSU.
