a lot of people here don't like the Irish. i don't like them either.
are we all in for another fun year of humiliating losses? is there any reason to think they will be a bowl-eligible team, or even a .500 team this year?
thoughts?...

I am sure they will improve this year. They had a good recruiting class and they had some young players that got beat up last year that will surely have learned from the experience. I predict around .500.

I think ND will be about 5-7 to 7-5 this year. Here's a 2008 Notre Dame football schedule (http://www.collegesports-fans.com/football-previews/2008-ncaa-fbs/notre-dame-preview.html) for reference.

I think they'll win around 6-7 games but they were a damn mess last year, most fundamentally unsound team I think I watched last year. Charlie Weis's chair is very warm, I can tell you that.

I think that is an improvement the Irish faithful could live with especially if it is followed up with another good recruiting class.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else....7 wins looks good. I also exepct an upset (?) over UM this season.

I think the Notre Dame vs Michigan game will be an interesting one. On one side you have a team looking to retrn to their winning ways and on the other you have a team in major offensive transition. Should be interesting.
