i think peyton manning is one of the best ever. however u have to wonder how he would do in a situation that isnt as perfect as his. what QB wouldnt do well with..
marvin harrison..1st round pick
reggie wayne..1st round pick
joseph addai..1st round pick
edgerine james..1st round pick
dallas clark..1st round pick
he has also had the same OC for his entire if not most of his career.
it would be harder to not be great in that situation then it would to be great.
that being said i dont think just anything QB could do all the things he has done there. i def think he is top 5 all time

That's an impressive list; all good, all talented.
I went with Peyton Manning. His ability to grasp the situation, read defensive alignments, and deliver the ball in exactly the right place for his intended receiver is outstanding.

Peyton. His understanding of the game is unequaled. He may not be the best yet, but by the time he finishes his career there will be no question.
P.S. I hate the Colts.
Bottom Line, Peyton is his own OC....

Marino was the best, hands down, imo. If Miami had ever gotten the guy a RB to go with the offense, there's no telling how many rings that guy'd be wearing. He had the quickest, most accurate release I've ever seen, even to this day; and I used to watch in awe as he threw darts to guys he wasn't even looking at. Runner-up would have to be Bradshaw.

Dan Marino could go out there and create miracles! If you thought the game was lost, he would go out there and win it. If there were 100 yards to go in 1 minute, he would make it look easy. I have to go with Marino, the greatest thing to ever happen to the Dolphins!

Marino has always been my answer until recently. He just never had the kind of defense and running game that help win championships. I'm reluctantly starting to think it's Brady though. The guy's mental toughness is like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods. There really isn't a chink in his armor. The only way to beat him is to control the ball and get incredible pressure on him.

To take it a step further, I'll go out on a limb and say that Peyton Manning will be the first player to go directly from playing to head coach in the NFL.

]Marino, he made it look so easy and didn't have the talent to throw to as did Montana, Bradshaw, and Manning.

I voted for Steve Tanneyhill...
I mean Brett Favre. Other than the fact that he's great, I chose him because he's open. He's not afraid to share his ups and downs. He somebody I'd like to hang out and drink a cold one with.

I voted for Montana because the guy was money when it mattered, and he has the rings to prove it. I don't care what kind of talent he had with him because you can have all the talent in the world and still not be able to get the ball to players in an accurate fashion. My runner up is Brady. Another money player.
Marino may not have had the running back, but he had Duper and Clayton. I think Montana would have won a ring with that combo.

marino made duper and clayton, they were nobodies. montana couldnt have done half what marino did in miami.
Montana was a system quarterback- Bill Walsh

I think Marino made those guys too. Taylor, Rice, and Craig were much better than any weapons that Marino had. There is the Steve Young factor with Montana. When the next qb takes over and immediately puts up the same kind of numbers, it weakens the argument for either of them as the best ever.

Agreed. Miami had Dan Marino. The 49ers had a team. I'm not sure Montana would even have taken the Dolphins to the playoffs all the years Marino did. Solid teams have a way of making good QB's look great.

There has been such a wide variety of talent with all these teams. Who knows who would have clicked with which receiver? It is a fun thing to ponder, though.

Montana was the most complete QB I've ever seen. He owned the two minute offense, hands down.
