I had a friend tell me about this site and I figured I would pass it along to you guys. Its Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music (http://www.pandora.com), it is a radio station that learns your preferences and plays songs that fit your taste. It is kind of like yahoo's radio except it is all on the webpage, no pop up players so it doesnt slow your computer down and you dont have to download anything. Its totally free and has an infinate amount of music. You start by picking an artist or a song and go from there. You can start from fresh every time or you can create a free profile and it will remember you.

Sound quality? I didn't know this board was full of audiophiles. Oh, and I almost forgot, there is a high/low quality setting you can choose.
Pandora can never match any type of music. It just plays random shit. And their selection is quite disgusting too. I can't help you on the map part.

Audiophile X10 here. Music is meant to be enjoyed, not just heard.

I will have to politely disagree with you on Pandora. Have been listening to it almost daily for over a year now and have enjoyed it. You just have to trim down your stations a bit. At first, the stations will play some random crap but once you trim it down a bit it gets much better. Heck I have even found a few new bands that I had never heard of before on there that I now have listened to alot. To each his own, I suppose.

Good stuff Shk, as soon as I went there it has 6 stations already loaded. Nickelback, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, and Pearl Jam. I must admit...pretty freakin sweet.

My Sirius does as well, when I am in the car. But while at home listening on the PC I just do not like the audio quality that you get from Sirius over the computer. Granted I have not upgraded. Good to go as long as I get to listen to the Jason Ellis Show.
