UF fans get GA Vanity Plates

Bulldog Nation, prepare for a serious case of road rage.

Gator plates are coming to a street near you.

Gator vanity plates are coming soon.

The toothy, green menace known as the University of Florida mascot will soon be mugging on vanity plates across Georgia. A thousand of the school's local alumni are about to receive their token bit of bravado from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

So, this is what you get for dancing in their end zone: You have to read 'em and weep.

Florida alumnus Jeff Hester, a lawyer for Atlanta firm Alston & Bird, said fellow Gators are verily chomping to get their tags.

"We have a bunch of fans on pins and needles," said Hester, perhaps unaware that many Bulldog boosters would like to see a Gator in just that position.

You have got to be kidding me. I can't get a Georgia tag in FL but you can get Gator tags in Georgia. This is stupid. :thumbsdow

Where have y'all been? We had threads about this months ago. They were supposed to have been delivered for pickup last week, and it looks like they have been in some places. They tried to make it difficult by demanding at least 1000 advance signatures and deposits of $25 for each. However, Atlanta has the highest concentration of Gator fans anywhere outside of Florida, and it took less than 2 weeks for us to mail in the $25,000. 2753 and I need to go pick ours up.:thumbs: Man, they look good.

Find enough of your fellow fans and you can get a Georgia tag in Florida. All states have requirements that you get a petition of enough names so they know they aren't throwing money down the toilet when they create them.

Well I have a firefighter tag now but I wouldn't mind lobbying for a UGA tag. As long as it looks better than the plain jane UF tag Georgia is making. Thanks for the tip.

Seeing Georgia then a Gator head under it makes me want to take a shower. What is this world coming to?!
