SEC East:

The East will be a border battle between Georgia and Florida. Two teams that will likely get pre-season top 5 rankings, and for good reason. Both teams will have National Championship on their mind, and the war for th East could come down to the battle of Jacksonville.

My prediction:

East:
1. Georgia (7-1 SEC)
2. Florida (7-1 SEC)
3. Tennessee (5-3 SEC)
4. South Carolina (5-3 SEC)
5. Kentucky (3-5 SEC)
6. Vandy (1-7 SEC)

West: Hard to predict the West next year.... will LSU reload quickly enough to repeat as West champs? Will Saban turn it around this year in Alabama? What will Auburn do with the new spread offense?

West:
1. Alabama (call me crazy, but I have a feeling that Bama breaks out this year)
2. LSU
3. Auburn

I do have them bookmarked, if I am wrong O well, I am not flaming, if I am right though there is going to be a lot that UGA fans have to answer to but I am not worried right now, the season is a long way away and they could be right and I might be the idiot.

I know I'm an Ole Miss fan, but I don't think a lot of you are realizing a COMPLETELY different coaching staff, that of Arkansas (Nutt and co.), excellent recruits, good quarterback, new offense. The Rebs can't go anywhere but up this season (winless in SEC) but I think they'll exceed expectations.

This is my prediction exactly, I think this is pretty close to how it will pan out next year. I think MSU might win more than 6, and SC should win a few more than 6 though.

Im not going to rant on the stabbing in the back of UGA by a couple of Vol fans. But the only thing I have to say is that you say if your right about UGA's seasong you are going to throw it in our faces with bookmarks. However, if you are wrong o well. Doesn't make too much sense to me, im not going to bookmark your posts ill just let you sit in stupidity if UGA wins a couple more than you think.

East:
UF/UGA- If UF gets their defense turned around just a little bit its going to be hard to beat them because of that offense. UGA has alot of upside with alot of returning starters and a BCS win.
UT- Simply because i dont see Crompton being a proven QB. That Vol secondary is going to be pretty solid.
USC-Doesnt have it yet will pester UGA, UF,UT

WEST:
Auburn: Tons of returning talent should be primed for a solid SEC season.
LSU: LSU has talent most teams dream about. They lost the number one QB in the draft last season and still won the national Title so i dont count them out at all.
Bama: Getting closer, I really think they will be better when JPW graduates

I just put the teams i think that will have a shot at their respective division titles next season.

I just have a feeling its finally going to come together for the Tide. Saban's first year was oh so close to being a 9-3 year... a lot of close losses in there, and at time, the Tide looked great. I think next year they could come out on top, because LSU WILL regress a little bit, and Auburn I just don't see winning the West next year, with a brand spanking new offense they've never played with and a new defensive coordinator. I think its going to come down to LSU/Alabama in the West.

Either way, whoever wins the West will lose to Georgia in Atlanta... :lol:

I say UGA in the East and Auburn in the West with UGA in the SEC championship game and headed into the NC hunt with 1 loss. There is a 3 week period where LSU, UGA, and UF play each other that is going to have a HUGE effect on the season for all three teams. The WLOCP is gonna be a ball breaker for UGA. Either we will be coming off a loss in Death Valley with something to prove or we willl be riding huge momentum coming into the UF game from a win. Either way it might now play out well for UF.
I just hope everyone stays healthy next year so we have the best possible match up from all the SEC teams. It should be good.

UT coming into Athens after last year loss is not going to be pretty for UT at all. That is a prediction I would put money on.

Now, this is way to early to weigh out the games. But Bama has a tough SEC schedule. I can see Bama going 4-4 in conference play. Maybe one or two games could go either way.
Another factor mentioned above about new coaches at other schools.

Bama lost of tight ends coach Ron Middleton and offensive coordinator Major Applewhite.
I am now hearing that Kevin Steele is pushing real hard to get the USA job. That would be a large shake-up in staff also.

I don't like doing win/loss predictions. But I do think that the East will be a great race. Florida's D has to be better. While I think Tenn and USC will be strong teams next year, I think next season will be a bit more sane and it will be Florida/Georgia til the end.

The West is a bit more wide open as I don't see any great teams @ this point (but who knows), and all of the top 3 has big question marks.

Im just hoping for history to repeat itself and then stop with Bama. Since Stallings left (with a 10 win season) we've basically sucked 2 years then do great .10 wins in 99 and SEC title, sucked 2 years, and 10 wins in 02 (would've repped the SEC West if not for sanctions) then sucked 2 years and 10 wins in 05, then sucked 2 years. Hopefully since we have finally gotten out of probation and sanctions and gotten a coach that an do the job the 10 win season can happen again, but the 2 years of sucking is almost certainly gone. With us I feel like when we get good O line and QB play we'll be a contender. That's basically been our problem for years. The D has been good enough to win and the receivers have been there as has the RB talent. We've got the O line talent for sure and Im thinking that if it does its job, the RBs will do theirs better, and that all will help JP do his better.

honestly, why do ppl put arkansas above MSU, we bring back almost all of our defense, i believe 3 players left, our offense will be completely back while we pick up good recruits.. arkansas lost there only offensive production.. in mcfadden and felix..

i dont expect miss state to be like SEC championship contenders but i dont expect them to go back to the cellar, nutt doesnt have the rb's he had at arkansas right now, give it a couple yrs and he should have things rolling. and this is coming from a die hard state fan. i just dont like flaming ole miss..

Ole Miss already has the talent in place; Coach O was a good recruiter but a terrible football coach. Thats why I say Ole Miss will surprise people. Y'all are going to see what happens when a perfectly capable football team gets some good leadership.

its a competely different system for these players.. i will be surprised if they win more than 5.. plus their big time qb hasnt even taken a snap in SEC, so who knows how he'll perfrom under constant competition.. i just see so many reasons for them to not be to great this yr. but like i said.. they will get there.. but i believe it takes time

Because despite the fact that Petrino has never had a top 25 recruiting class, he still manages to go 42-9 in college and have his athletes mentioned among the premeir in the country.... yeah, I know this is the SEC, but unless I've forgotten something, Louisville has done squat with the same players.

Don't underestimate the Petrino....

I'll say this.... while you are right, it will take a while to build some consistency at Ole Miss, Nutt had Arkansas 8-0 in his first season.... an Arkansas team who, in the past had trouble with the likes of SMU. The talent is there, and the excitement will follow. Don't be surprised when Ole Miss jumps up and bites some soon-to-be-former SEC contender in the ass next season.

Nutts situation at OM is a LOT like the one he inherited at Arkansas. Danny Ford said 98 would have been a bad ass team, regardless of who the coach was. Nutt is a good motivator. I expect OM to be a good team THIS year.
