I don't agree at all with that top 3 I say UGA, USC, UF....

Yea, West Virginia at #1 is a quite a stretch. They lost a lot of coaches and a lot of files. They don't even know who they have on their team.

I hope Auburn creams West Virginia.

Well, Clemson will have a lousy season next year because of all the pre-season love. Every time they are slated to be a top team, they lose to NC State or Wake. Tammy will never get them over the hump.

Iam sorry but I do not see clemson being that high or maybe it is because I hate them and I don't want them there ! :) I think FL or GA should be #1

I love the lofty ranking of Clempson.
In their case:
High Ranking = Total Meltown

UGA has toughest schedule in the country next year so not many polls, if any, will have them that high.

Surprised to see tOSU up there again but I suppose they don't lose too much talent, as this was supposed to be a 'rebuilding' year anyway. UF above UGA is also a bit of a surprise - I would probably have them a couple of places behind us, but maybe that's my bias speaking.

They left Mississppi State off the list. I really think they will be on that list by the end of next year.

http://logoserver.com/college/GeorgiaBulldogs3.GIF4. Georgia – After humbling Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, the Bulldogs are ready for bigger things in 2008. Tailback Knowshon Moreno will be the premier tailback in the SEC. He and quarterback Matt Stafford are an exiting young duo. The defense will be loaded with upperclassmen. The same goes for the offensive line. The schedule is brutal, which may hold this team back some.
I wonder who they're referring to?

State will have to show this past year was not a fluke before they are ranked in any poll and I believe they will. GO DAWGS!!!

Without a doubt Georgia should be number one, thats is the most evident thing on the entire poll

By my count West Virginia lost eight starters on defense. They lost their head coach and four starters on offense counting Slaton who is leaving early.
I should get paid doing some of these mags. research. Doesn't look to me like anyone does it.....

NO NO NO I don't wanna be number one until the end of the year. Trust me dawgnation thats a target we do not want on our heads. Besides we play very well as the under-DAWG...
God i hope we beat Clemson. I hate having such a big game so early on. But, that could be in our favor
And I agree with bulldawg... preseason number 1 is a heavy heavy crown to carry til the end.

Totally agree, Clemson at #9 is ridiculous. They were 5th overall in a weak a@@ ACC (Gimme wins over Duke, NC State, UNC, Maryland, and Miami; all of which had losing records) and 3 wins over Louisiana Monroe, Furman, and Central Michigan (I still refuse to acknowledge this as a viable team or conference). Pure crap, but looking at some of the other pics, like WVU at #1, I also realized we're not talking about the AP here; Southern Pigskin is about as reputable as my gym shorts.
