Was browsing the net and found this funny story about Arkansas new coach Petrino.

ESPN - Razorbacks' Petrino well versed in prior commitments - Columnist (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=3199306&sportCat=ncf&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1)

That was awesome!

"I was a young coach and I made a mistake."

"You weren't that young. You were 42."

"I meant young, compared to Joe Paterno."

and that part was hillarious!

"Another recruiter was here a few days ago. He said people are calling you, 'Coach Pinocchio.' He said you have a history of lying."

People get on Petrino and Saban for moving around, but why not Urban Meyer? Saban spent 5 years at Michigan State, 5 at LSU, 2 at Miami, but no one mentions this is the first time Meyer stayed more than two years as a head coach.

Because Urban Meyer was making upgrades on the way up and wasn't constantly looking to get out of his current job every couple of weeks.

Everyone is on Saban and Petrino for the way they straight dumped on their NFL squads. At least Spurrier spent multiple seasons with the 'Skins failing and taking it like a man.

Spurrier spent 2 years with the Skin, just like Saban spent 2 years with the Fins.

Michigan State-LSU-NFL, all upgrades.

People like to think Saban dumped on his NFL team, that's a lie, its just convenient . Petrino did. Saban dumped on the media for asking the same question over and over (whether he knew the answer then, nobody will know), Saban lied so he could get the best out of his players down the stretch, as Petrino should have. Saban made some sort of address to his players (though they were all gone home), Saban spoke with the owner and said if he totally was against him leaving, then he'd stay. Saban held a private session with the media.

Aside from the exact comments of "I'll never be the coach of Alabama" Saban handled it about as well as it can be handled. To get to what those close to him said has always been a dream job for him.

Well if I had to make a more educated guess, and pertaining to what I've read a lot recently...it was Urban. No offense Gator fans, just whats going around.

When Saban left Miami he went directly to Alabama. Spurrier was out of coaching for a year after he left the 'Skins. There is a lot of difference.
