Heard it on the Round Table WJOX just now (probably a bad source) Could the dominos start to fall?? Hmmmm... Norm Chow in T-town? Would that fit? What about Joe Pendri? Could happen since it appears Applewhite to Texas is pretty much a done deal.

It's not a rumor. And it's already been posted.

Or Chow could go back to USC if Carroll takes the job with the Falcons.

That's true, but Norm doesn't have the credibility to be a head coach at a major Div I school, IMO anyway. He'll take an OC position in college or a HC position at a minor school.

I need to gas up the SUV and head to T-Town so I can get things ready for Chow's visit.

Springfield is about 45 minutes North of Nashville, no idea how that correlates.

Norm Chow would be a fantastic OC for bama. We'll be watching this one close.

It's not that far from Metro Center however.

okokokok.... I got a little too excited and mistakenly switched the airports. Plane left BHM and arrived in North Nashville at 11 CST.
Now the plane is enroute to Knoxville and expected to land at 3:40 EST.

Jeff Fisher should've drafted Leinart

You're insane. Leinart won't have the career Young will.

I"m joking, its the excuse Titans fans have used as to why Chow wasn't successful at the pro level. Some of them anyway. And the jury is still very much out on Vince Young as a pro QB.

I agree, the jury is still out, but IMO, in his career, he will have at least a couple of Super Bowl showings and a couple of more Pro Bowls.

Too bad VY can't read defenses. I really really really want him to do well. Titans need to get one big playmaker at WR and beef up the D. Jeff Fisher in my humble opinion is a top 3 to 5 coach.

I was shocked to read about it, but then I sat back, saw how horrible our offense was and the move makes sense. So we need to hire a proven OC, and draft Earl Bennett! add another d-linemen to play along side hayneworth, hello 2009 superbowl champions!!

The Titans gave up 17 points to the Chargers, right?
Uhhh yeah, you guys need a new defense. The Titans problem is not defense, its that awful offense that has absolutely no playmakers at the WR positions.

Beef up doesn't mean new D. It just means get deeper. Doesn't help Crackman Jones has been a bust.

He'd be a great fit at Hawaii, but it appears they've already named a successor.

I wonder if Chow's availability would be considered a "highly unusual" occurance.

Chow was making 1.5 mil a year in Nashville. I doubt Bama is willing to pay him what he could get from staying in the NFL.

IMO, the only way he stays in the NFL is as a position coach and I don't think he wants to take that step backwards. His ultimate goal, I think, is a head coaching job somewhere in the Division I college ranks and he has a lot to prove before someone hands him the reins of their program. At best, he gets another OC job in college for the next several years until something else comes open. I honestly don't think he's that great of a motivator.

It does not matter who Fisher hires, it is still his 1950's offense. Chow was yet another scapegoat.

All indications are that Mike Heimerdinger is at the top of the list to replace Chow. Chow has a home in LA and has been whispered to be a candidate for the OC opening at UCLA, but had this to say on Tuesday:
“I have been doing this for a long time. Maybe I want to step back for a year, I don’t know.’’
