Call me corny if you like but I absolutely love going to Disney World. There are so many thing for us to do together as a family and the golf is top shelf all the way. The staff at the parks, resorts, and restaurants treat you like royalty. We go every other year and this year is when our next trip is due. Having a baby due at the end of July has sort of thrown a monkey wrench into those plans so I think we'll wait until our new little one is at least two before going again.

Next to Disney I'd have to say Gulf Shores would have to come in 2nd. (We're going there w/ 2 other families in June). The beach is nice and the golf is as good as just about anywhere else.

BTW... both of the families we're going with are Bama families so please keep us in your prayers!

My favorite place I have traveled to is Thailand. It is such a diverse country. You have amazing beaches (hopefully no tsunamis,) mountains, lush jungles, history, religion, incredibly fresh and tasty food, and beautiful and very nice people. Plus it is very cheap outside the expensive plane ticket.

Man, this is spooky! Those are about my favorites, too.

I really like Orange Beach the best, but Gulf Shores is fine.
And Disney... man, I could geaux to Disney every day. I really like that new ride at Epcot called "Soaring."
My wife and I are going on a cruise in September; we fly to London, get on the cruise ship at Harwich, then geaux to LeHavre, France, and Paris, back to several English villages, to Wales, to Dublin & Cork, Ireland, across the North Atlantic to St. John, Newfoundland, and ending up for the flight home at Boston. It sounds like it will be an interesting adventure. We are going with several friends from my high school graduation class.

James Island, SC. The fishing is great and there are a ton of hot chicks at Folly beach.

Camping anywhere...and hiking.

My "vacations" are usually two or three day road trips somewhere for a concert and then finding all sorts of crap to do.

This past year I drove to Milwaukee, but I've driven to Boston, StL, Atlanta....etc....just for concerts and then came back. It's all in the fun of the road trip. Those are really my favorites.

Gatlinburg is really nice but I don't know of any golf around there. I have a standing rule that no matter where we go there must be readily available golf close by.

The experience of going with my family to Yellowstone a few years ago was the best vacation I've ever been on. We spent a week there and the hiking and scenery were fabulous.

We saw bears on two occasions.

We saw a momma black bear with 3 cubs. They were a safe distance away on one side of the road and we parked and went to the other side and watched them awhile. There was a park ranger keeping everyone a safe distance away from them.

The other time we were hiking (near Natural Bridge) and one walked out on the trail in front of us. I'd guess it was about 25 yards in front of us. We stopped in our tracks (froze) and he turned and looked at us and walked back the way he came from. I believe he was a grizzlie, and not a black bear, but I didn't ask him. I was a little nervous on that occasion. That was a little too close for comfort.

We did see a lot a wildlife......bison, elk, moose, bear, etc. For anyone wanting a vacation of a lifetime, I'd recommend it.

Here's a few pictures.

I was at Yellowstone this past summer, and I tried to find some grizzlies, but they were nowhere to be found. I love the Bahamas, esp Eleuthera. It is very small, private, and the water is beautiful, esp. the Caribbean side of the island. I have been to Thailand as well, and it is indeed an interesting country. I liked going to the Buddhist monasteries. My next dream is Bora, Bora.

Hope you don't get beri ber in bora bora. I would love to go to Borneo. Have you ever seen the show Orangutan Island on Animal Planet? That show is freaking hilarious. It is like an Orangutan romper room.

Very, very beautiful! Did you go to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha? Or did you see the Emerald Buddha in the Palace Compound? I went to the Cambodian border to a monastery at a place called Chantaburi and walked barefoot in the rain. it was a place of untold serenity and beauty. The monk there nicknamed me "Little Foreigner". he said he had never seen an American who was not physically BIG.

Hey Little Farang,

Here is the reclining Buddha. Did not see the Emerald Buddha. Did you go to Cambodia? Angkor Wat is amazing.

I've played Magnolia once. My favorite though is Lake Buena Vista. I have to play it at least once every time we're down there. It seems like every fairway on that course is wide open so you can just grip & rip. I also really enjoy Disney Palm course. It's more of a challenge than the others to me but I enjoy the test.

I have 3 favorite vacations.

(In no particular order)

1. Cancun, Mexico.

Oh how I'll never forget the greatest time of my 16 year old life. Beautiful women EVERYWHERE. Getting served alcoholic drinks by the tiki bartenders who couldn't care less how old you were. Paradise I tell you... paradise. Oh and fantastic Scuba Diving. The days were hot and sunny and the nights were hotter, a young persons dream.

2. Royal Caribbean Cruise - Nassau, Bahamas.

It was a short one, but oh what a good one. I singlehandedly rang up a $300+ bar tab, just for myself... and it was only a 3 night cruise. Day 3 of the cruise I was on the island and got plastered, went back to the ship, slept it off, went out and partied some more. Oh, also fantastic Scuba Diving. And then there was Jaime.... ohhhh Jaime... what a time we had together.

3. Ireland. (insert riverdance music)

The land of my ancestors (well, half of them) called my name, and I answered. Most beautiful country I've ever seen. And being that I went the week of St. Patrick's Day... it was also the most festive time of the year. Don't think I've ever had that much fun in a week. From hiking around to check out castles, the ancient structure of newgrange, and the beautiful towns and fantastic pubs, Ireland is a dream awaiting. And then there was Simone.... ohhhh Simone.... the time we had together.
