Ok boys and girls... its Friday. How did you the first week??


My starting weight: 225 lbs.
We weight after 1 week: 219 lbs. Loss of 6 lbs.

Goal: 210 by the end of January. Got a great start so I may go for 200 by the end of January.

What I've been doing: Eating right. Chicken, fish, green vegetables, and water. Cut out my sodas (not even diet) and I'm down to 2 cups of coffee a day. With school starting back my schedule was a little crazy, so I only got one 3 mile run in this week. I expect as I pick that up the weight loss should increase.

What I'm doing this next week: Maintaining the same diet, getting a cardio workout every day.



How are you guys doing?

My starting weight: 240 lbs (which is the most I've ever weighed)
My weight this morning: 234 lbs

My goal is 200 (no specific timeframe)

Basically, this first week, I cut out all sweets (and cut way back on snacks since I had gotten to the point of snacking all the time while watching sports on TV), have not gone for "seconds" at the table, and have been drinking around 6 to 8 glasses/cups of water a day. I believe I had one Coke Zero this week, which was my only soda. Also we just got a Schwinn AirDyne exercise bike earlier this week, which I've started using (rode 7 to 8 miles each day the last few days).

I just plan to keep doing what I've done this week and see where it gets me.

I don't have a scale, but at most I gained a pound or two. Was 145, goal is 160 by the end of the semester. My results won't really start showing for a month or so.

Was at 205...down to 202. Not much, but it's a start.

My diet is an apple for breakfast. Grilled chicken salad for lunch. Dinner varies....nothing fast food or greasy or fried.....but my cutback there is as GCF said, not going back for seconds.

Cutback some on the beer consumption.....lol but not much.

But as I said before....I'm trying to just lose 10 lbs.....sticking w/this diet should easily get me down to 195.

I missed the beginning of this and I haven't weighed myself yet, but I know I've lost at 5-6 pounds in the last week or so. I started out at about 285-90 and I'm down about 5 pounds or so.

I've just been riding the elliptical I got for Christmas for 45 minutes a day, walking instead of driving short distances and watching what I eat. I ate a cheeseburger and fries last night and I got sick because I haven't fried foods in almost two weeks, so that won't be repeated.

Lots of chicken, spinach, romaine, vegetables, pretzels instead of chips, you get the picture.

Since January 2nd I've burned 7873 calories on that elliptical machine. Whew!

well I'm at 235lb and am okay at that weight but fidden to give up the cancer sticks which we know what the potential from that is.............

so I'm just gonna be a little more cognizant of what Im eating.............but I am fixen to have blueberry streudal hot w/Vanilla Ice Cream.............how you like that you buncha dieters! LMFAO (with you but not at you?)

Starting Weight- 175
Weight today- 174
Loss of 1 lb.

Edit: I just weighed myself after that awesome meal. 174 pounds . . . i lost weight! Wierd.
Haha . . . I need to get back into my healthy eating habits. Starting tomorrow, I gaurantee my weight will be down to 169 by next sunday. Mark it down, I'm getting serious again.

Was 231 last Monday and 225 this morning, so that's 6 pounds!!:goodjob::thumbs::D

6 down, 25 to go!!

I actually added a pound, but I saw that coming. Went out of town on a trip and had to eat out every night. I have no discipline in restaurants.

On to week two!!!!!

I'll get back on the scale in a couple of weeks right now I'm trying to get me cardio back on track. 3 mile run this morning, chest and back in the gym hit 315 for 10 on bench felt good. Shoulder still crackles, damn old age, pants fit better.

I can still hit around 405 with a little work but my shoulder is getting bad so I'm trying not to go over 315 for any reason. Just reps as my last set. All my other lifts have suffered but my bench is still pretty good. I'm happy about that.

Way to go, everyone's off to a great start. Collectively we're down 27 lbs (with the exception of shank, who's trying to gain)
